BHANU DUA
Mr. Bhanu Dua passed his B. Pharm (Hons) from Birla Institute Of Technology (BITS) Pilani in the year 1972.
Mr Bhanu Dua remained quite energetic and active student of the prestigious institute during his
graduation. He worked as manufacturing chemist for 2 years with a reputed pharmaceutical company of
Delhi and gained expertise in Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals in different sections. Mr. Bhanu Dua has
specialty in the field of manufacturing and he established his own pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in
Delhi under the name of GLYCO REMEDIES at a young age of 23 years in 1974. 'GLYCO' is established
brand in medical profession for the past 40 years.
He was General Secretary for many terms and President of All India Small Scale Pharmaceutical
Manufacturers Association. His contributionfor the uplift of small scale units in the country is praise
worthy.
He is one of the founder members of IPGA. He served as General Secretary of the association for three
terms and Past President of IPGA. Also one of the founder trustee member of 'IPGA WELFARE TRUST ' and is
still actively involved for the improvement of professional status and welfare of Pharmacy Graduates in the
country.
Mr. Bhanu Dua started the official news letter of IPGA which today has taken fine shape as 'IPGA TODAY'.
During his tenure as office bearer he has organized various IPGA conferences/ seminars / workshops and
other programs for the benefit of fraternity. He also played important role in different capacities for
organizing and making the three IPC held in Delhi a grand gala success as Chairman Venue Committee. He
represented IPGA in 'International Congress of FIP ' held at Amsterdam in 2012.
Mr. Bhanu Dua has promoted PHARMACY as a profession and the best example of this is that his son & his
daughter in law are pharmacy graduates and his daughter & his son in law are doctorate in pharmacy and
doing well in their respective assignments.
In all, he is a pharmacy man with professional competence and always contributing to the pharmacy
profession. The Executive members of IPGA wishes him and his family a very successful and prosperous
life ahead.

Mr. Atul Kumar Nasa is the President of Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA) & Managing Trustee of IPGA
WELFARE TRUST. He is also Vice President of All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation (AIDCOC). He was also the Joint
Secretary of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) for three terms (2003-2012)
Mr. Nasa was the one of the youngest President of IPCA and he presided 65th session of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress
held at Amity University, Delhi NCR in December 2013. Mr. Nasa successfully organized 61st session of Indian
Pharmaceutical Congress, 2009 as a Co-Chairman of the Local organizing Committee, held at Ahmedabad in December
2009. He also Organized 60th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Dwarka,
New Delhi in December 2008 as an Organizing Secretary and 53rd session of IPC held at Pusa Campus, New Delhi in
December 2001 as an Associate Secretary.
Mr. Nasa passed Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy from Delhi University in the year 1986 and worked as a Lecturer in
Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR) New Delhi from 1987 to 1992 and later on joined Drugs
Control Department, Government of NCT of Delhi in the year 1992.
He was elected as an Associate of 'Institute of Chemists (India)' in 1988 and subsequently awarded Fellowship of the said
institution in 1993. Mr. Nasa presented several papers at National and International Conferences and also Chaired
various Scientific Sessions. He was awarded the Regulatory Person of the Year award by 54th IPC Welfare Trust, Pune in
2009.
Mr. Atul Kr. Nasa has been awarded the Outstanding Young Professional Achievement Award during the 20th Annual
Conference of IPGA held at Chandigarh on 8th February, 2003. He is also recipient of Best Alumni Award by Delhi
Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR), New Delhi for his outstanding contribution in the field of
Pharmacy Profession.
Mr. Nasa has been awarded Best Drugs Inspector Award at Mumbai by All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation
(AIDCOC) for his outstanding and sincere contribution to Drugs Control Organisation in November, 2001. He is Life
Member of IPGA, FIP, IPA, APTI, IHPA, AIDCOC, ISTE, IPS, Indian Society of Pharmacognosy and Indian Society of
Consmetology and also worked in different Associations as an Active Member/Chair Person for holding various
seminars/conferences.
Mr. Nasa is presently working as Assistant Drugs Controller cum Licencing Authority at Drugs Control Department, Govt. of
NCT of Delhi. He receives continuous support and untiring energy from his wife Madhu, daughters Nimisha, Shrishti and
son Siddharth.

PRADEEP KUMAR
Pradeep Kumar was academically inclined and did his Diploma in Pharmacy in the year 2003 and
Bachelor of Pharmacy in the year 2007. He has pursued many activities that have given him experience
in this field of study. He qualified GATE examination and received his Masters Degree from Uttar Pradesh
Technical University, Lucknow in 2009. His research includes Identification, evaluation and
standardization of herbal drug on various Pharmacopoeial parameters. The research also incorporates
pharmacological estimation in various in vivo and in vitro studies establishing the therapeutic
application of herbal drugs.
He has encountered independent voluntary work for various Pharmacy Associations. From this, he has
learnt the insight of being a Community Pharmacist and dealing with prescriptions, which will prove
valuable in the future. Of course, with a degree in Pharmacy the sky is your limit.
He started his career as a Lecturer in Pharmacy at the college for around 2 years and later on joined
pharmaceutical industry. He is working in the field of Regulatory Affairs for past 4 years and has in-depth
knowledge of Dossier preparation for various countries around the world.
Professionally, Pradeep Kumar has been serving as a Member Industrial Committee of Indian Pharmacy
Graduates' Association for past two years. Now he has been opted as an Executive Member of Indian
Pharmacy Graduates' Association. He has been actively involved in various seminars and conferences
organized by the association from time to time in different part of the country.

BINOD KUMAR
Shri Binod Kumar born on 09-12-1946 procured his basic qualification from Chapra , Bihar.Mr. Binod is a
Graduate in pharmacy (1967-71) B.Pharm from Department of Pharmacy, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-32
with additional Diploma in Pharmacy from, Patna.
Before joining Drug Control department, Bihar as Drugs Control Officer Binod erved in pharmaceutical
companies like P. C. Laboratories and Aqua Vita Industries in various capacities in different section in
manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
An honest, transparent and highly capable officer , Mr. Binod has also been associated with organizational
activities of his professional fraternity. He had been the joint secretary of state Drugs officers services
Associations. Presently he is Senior Vice President , IPGA Bihar
Some of credentials of Mr. Binod made him Special Drug Control officer due to his outstanding
performance in enforcement of drug legislation, he was also recognized by Director, Drug Control
Administration many times and he has retired as Regional Licensing Authority, Drug Control
Administration. Govt. of Bihar. Prior to this he was lecturer in Pharmacy Institute , patna (1974-75)
Having chaired and co-chaired various task committees including scientific sessions in National and
International conferences he had been the active participants in many Indian Pharmaceutical Congress. He
has conducted many health camps and social activities in tribal area of Bihar.
He is well respected in his peer group due to his positive approach to life and sincere dedicated efforts
towards difficult tasks.
He has anchored many events and has a passion of photography, poetry n chutkuley and seen quite active
on social net working sites. He has in his family one son who is a doctor, one daughter, B. Pharm and a
beautiful, sover wife like others named Rekha Kumari .

Dr N Udupa
Principal, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences,
Manipal University, Karnataka
Dr N Udupa, born in July 1953, had his post-graduation in 1976 and obtained PhD from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi,
India in 1987. After serving in Pharma Industry for 8 years, he has been working in academics for last 25 years and is now
occupying the highest position as Principal at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University since 1997. He
received Principal of the Year (2001) award from APTI. He served as Convenor-Scientific Services of Indian Pharmaceutical
Congress Association from 2010 to 2012.
Dr. N Udupa has visited several internationally reputed research laboratories and Universities of Australia, Singapore, Japan,
Hongkong, Bangkok, U.K., U.S.A., Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Nepal, Bahrain, Netherlands, Portugal and Dubai on
academic assignments. He is the editor of Pharmacy journals such as Pharmag, Indian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy,
International Journal of Community Pharmacy and Journal of Pharmaceutics. He is guiding several M.Pharm and Ph.D
candidates for research projects sponsored by U.G.C., C.S.I.R., D.S.T, D.B.T., I.C.M.R., AICTE., New Delhi, Industries and Dr.
TMA Pai Research Foundation, Manipal. Dr. N Udupa is a proliferative writer and has published 400 articles in national and
international journals and 10 books. He has 9 Indian patents to his credit. Dr. N Udupa has received best paper awards in
Conferences and he was selected for professor Premchand Dandiya Endowment Trust, Jaipur for 'first Annual Research
Award' in January 1997. He also received '54th IPC trust Pharmacy Teacher' of the year Award for the year 2008-09. His
intellect and vision has enabled in widening the horizons of Pharmaceutical education and research. His zeal for the
development of new branches in pharmaceutical sciences has modified the facet of pharmacy profession. He was recognized
as 'Pharmaceutical Scientist of the year 2008', awarded by Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Technologists.
He received '8th STARS Award' of American Association of Government College of Pharmacy (Bengaluru) Alumni, New York,
USA (2011), 'Talented Scientist Award' during 3rd International Conference on Medicinal Plants and Herbal Products held at
University of Colombo, Sri Lanka (2011), 'Prof C J Shishoo Award - Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences' from Association of
Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (2012), 'Acharya P C Ray Gold Medal Award' by Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA)
Bengal Branch, India (2012) and 'Schroff Memorial National Award' by Indian Hospital Pharmacists' Association (2012). He is
serving as Director - Research (Health Sciences) of Manipal University, Manipal.

Dr. BHAGIRATH PATEL


Bhagirath Patel started learning research methodology at post graduate level as a subject which he
carried ahead to lay the foundation stone to pursue his doctoral work in public health .Vocationally being
in academics he took to research projects by default guiding both post graduate and doctoral students at
large and identifying research objectives in day to day health care happenings. Dr. Bhagirath Patel's
contribution to research exists since 2 decades culminating him into a versatile science contributor.
Dr. Bhagirath Patel's research topics stand wide and contributing to science more so in healthcare. His
research ranges from analytical technique validation in bulk and single dose dosage forms using high
precision analytical techniques like HPLC and HPTLC to drug use in specific population like pregnancy and
its rationalization; this further extends to prescription patterns and drug utilization studies. The research
also incorporates pharmacological estimation in various in vivo and in vitro studies establishing the
mechanism of drug action and newer therapeutic application of drugs.
His research work being of high quality has received publications in various national and international
journals with high impact factors justifying its influence to healthcare arena at large.
He continues to do his research with the same zeal and enthusiasm, continuously upgrading himself
upfront as evident from his research publications from time to time in continuation.
Professionally Dr Patel serves in various capacity viz. President IPGA Gujarat State, Former Vice President
IPGA West Zone. He is Councillor at International Union of Basics and Clinical Pharmacology and General
Secretary, Indian Pharmacological Society. He is Principal at Sat Kaival College of Pharmacy, Sarsa and life
member of IPA, APTI etc.
