ACCOUNT OF VISIT TO MADAV VIDYAPEETH

We make a living by what we get, but we make

a life by what we give-Winston Churchill
Our school Chanderbala Modi Academy has from
long been involved in many community services
for the betterment and upliftment of the weaker
sections of the society. This year also as a part of
this process our school adopted a local school
named Madhav Vidyalaya in kakadkui village of
Valia Taluka. Our Group Of 17 students headed by
Saumya Singh of class 12 was accompanied by
VP sir, Kirit Sir, Sandhya Mam and Kashyapi Mam
who is the incharge of this Project of community
service. Our first visit to the school was on 30
June. We started at 7:30 in the morning to go to
the school. All the students were excited as we all
were eager to meet the children .At about
8:45am we reached there. After Visting the
nearby temple we entered the school.I was
spellbound by the beauty of nature .The school is
located in the lap of nature. We were greeted By
Naveen Sir who ensures proper running of this
school. From him we got to know that there were
approx. 329 students studying there in the
school from class 5 to 11.They all live there as it
is a boarding school. All these children come
from about 156 nearby villages. Most importantly
these children are taught and boarded free of
cost as they can afford the education cost. After
the briefing we attended the morning assembly
of the primary section .It was very peaceful there
and the atmosphere was mesmerizing. It lasted
for about 25 minutes. Then we divided our group

in pairs and went to different classes for

experiencing their life and education. The classes
there were not named class wise but were named
after gods and saints, which was quite
intresting.Their system of education is similar to
those of gurukuls which is very good. The children
there were very nice, kind and innocent. They
have god IQ and some children know Hindi and
even read English. We gave our introduction to
them, interacted with them, we taught
somethings, danced, sang, played games with
them and enjoyed a lot. At first they were little
shy but soon they mingled very nicely with us.
They were happy to see us so were we. While
being with them we didnt know only how fast
time ran. It was time to come back. With heavy
hearts we bid goodbye to them but promised to
return soon again. It felt good from inside after
spending time with them. We also learnt a lot of
things from them like their Tribal Dance, Self
Discipline and mainly they were self-sufficient. It
was a day well spent with those children. Hoping
to interact with them more and help them in
ways we can in the upcoming visits.
