EndoVac
EndoVac has been introduced by Discus Dental Company. This is a true
apical negative pressure irrigation system whereby instead of applying a
positive pressure, the EndoVac uses suction to pull the irrigant down the root
canal and then back up again through a thin needle with a special design,
and away into the Hi-Vac suction unit. It is also advantageous in its ability to
safely deliver irrigants to working length without causing undue extrusion
into the apex.
4 Simple Components of EndoVac:
1. The Multi-Port Adapter(MPA)
It plugs directly into your office Hi-Vac and serves as a
caddy for the EndoVac tubing and other components. It is
autoclavable for easy sterilization, and is easily removed
and re-attached to the Hi-Vac system for maximum
portability between operatories.
2. The Master Delivery Tip (MDT)
It plugs directly into the blue port of the MPA and provides
a constant flow of irrigant without the risk of overflow. The
MDT is used during coronal flaring and after each
instrument change to remove gross debris arising from
instrumentation.
3. MacroCannula
It is used to remove coarse debris inside the canal after all
instrumentation is completed. In this step, the
MacroCannula and the MDT are used at the same time. It is
helpful to have a dental assistant deliver the irrigant with
the MDT while the clinician works the MacroCannula up and
down each canal.
4. MicroCannula
It is a 28 gauge needle (0.32 mm) with 12 laser-drilled,
microscopic evacuation holes each less than 100 microns
in size placed at the end of the needle. Fluid is drawn to
the apical termination through these holes, creating a
vortex-like cleaning of the apical third.
SAFETY:
According to the manufacturer, EndoVac is safe because it pulls
the irrigant deep into the canal and evacuates it through the suction
holes, so you do not run the risk of pushing sodium hypochlorite
beyond the apical foramen.

EFFICACY:
It also has a good efficacy since it enable irrigation to full working
length, so you can reach those last few critical 3-4 mm that are often
left untouched.
SUCCESS:
EndoVac creates a powerful current force to pump disinfecting
irrigants throughout the entire canal system, so pain-inducing bacteria
are destroyed more quickly and effectively.

RinsEndo
The Rinsendo is introduced by the Durr Dental Company. It is a
handpiece that fully irrigates right to the apex. Germs and debris are
effectively removed even under difficult anatomical conditions such as strong
curvature and small diameters. Rinsendo supports successful endodontic
treatment by facilitating the best possible conditions for long-term
maintenance of the treated tooth.
RinsEndo irrigates the canal by the use of pressure-suction technology
with approximately 100 cycle per minute. It is a simple operation powered
with dental compressed air. It is operated by the footswitch of your dental
unit. A quick connect attaches Rinsendo to the handpiece tubing. Rinsendo is
compatible with all irrigation solutions. During the suction phase, the used
solution and air are extracted from the root canal and automatically merged
with fresh rinsing solution The pressure-suction cycles change approximately
100 times per minute

Rinsendo replaces time consuming manual syringe irrigation. The

ergonomic titanium handpiece accepts a specially designed single-use
cannula with a 7mm long aperture. The long aperture eliminates blockage,
enabling the irrigation solution to reach and disinfect all portions of the
canal. A protective stopper guards against splatter and serves as a
positioning device for the saliva ejector.
During operation, Rinsendo employs exclusive, patented pressure
suction technology to thoroughly flush the canal. In the pressure phase, 65
micro-liters of solution are automatically drawn from the attached syringe
and aspirated into the canal. In the suction phase, the used solution and air
are aspirated back. The pressure created by Rinsendo irrigation is lower than
the pressure created by a syringe during manual irrigation.
Rinsendo is powered with dental compressed air. It is operated by the
footswitch of your dental unit. A quick connect attaches Rinsendo to the
handpiece tubing. Rinsendo is compatible with all irrigation solutions.
