JOB DESCRIPTION:

Vistas analyst program offers a unique entry into the private


equity industry. As an important member of the investment
team, analysts spend their time on transactions and portfolio
company management. The firms industry presence and
relationships allow it to see a constant flow of potential
investments; as an analyst you will get experience evaluating
new investments and learning, from the ground-up, how a
sector-specific private equity investor identifies, evaluates, and
executes investments in a diverse set of companies. The firm
has executed a variety of deals, including domestic and
international public company take privates, carve-outs,
management buyouts, follow-on acquisitions, divestitures, refinancings, and sell-side exits.
The analyst program combines the M&A aspects of investment
banking and will provide a taste of the operational focus of a
consulting firm, while approaching both from the perspective
of a principal investor. Analysts are responsible for supporting
the due diligence and research efforts of a deal team and will
work with other investment professionals (including senior
team members) and portfolio company executives (CEOs,
COOs, etc.) to employ Vistas unique investment and operating
model to drive industry-leading returns.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be researching markets,
industries, and companies to support Vistas investment
strategy. While working on active investment opportunities,
you will analyze complex data sets to identify key trends and
insights that drive decisions for a world class investor. After a
5-6 week training program and over the course of a two-tothree year period, you will evaluate hundreds of investment
opportunities, gain strong industry and business model
expertise, and develop your abilities as a private equity
investor.
You will also interact with world class executives as you work
on projects to help implement Vistas operating best practices,
developing your abilities to interact with management teams
and identify and execute on operational improvement

initiatives at companies of all sizes. This is an unrivaled entrylevel opportunity in terms of breadth of experience and access
to senior team members. Between Vistas success / growth,

POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analysts participate in all aspects of the firms investment and


consulting efforts. They will be expected to contribute to the
Vista team by taking significant levels of responsibility and
broadening their relevant skill-sets.
The position is a two-to-three year commitment designed for an
individual who is interested in expanding their knowledge of
the investment process, software, finance, and business
operations. Just like its approach to investing, Vista has a long
term focus on career development, and successful candidates
will have an opportunity to continue with Vista and rise within
the firm or join a portfolio company. Responsibilities will
revolve around three primary types of work:

Transactions Analysts will work with deal teams to help


evaluate investment opportunities, research industry
dynamics, analyze complex data sets to identify crucial
financial and business information, and support the
execution of deals.

Portfolio Management and Operations Analysts will work


with deal teams to help manage portfolio company
reporting, oversight, and operations in conjunction with
Vistas operating and consulting arms (Vista Consulting
Group) and will also have occasional opportunities to work
directly with management teams to help implement
industry best practices in a variety of areas (examples
include organizational structure, employee compensation,
financial reporting, sales execution, and product road
mapping).

Internal Firm Operations Analysts will work with other


Vista professionals across product groups to identify and

research new investment opportunities, support the


creation of new best practices, and help raise investment
capital

QUALIFICATIONS:

High degree of personal and professional maturity

the workplace

EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate degree with superior academic performance
