CONTAINER SHIP

Container ships (containership or celullarship) is a special vessel used

to transport cargo in the container.
Container ship split into 2 by the laying of containers on the ship:
1. Vertical cell container ship (full container), the entire load above
and below deck. Generally a maximum of 9 piles under the main
deck, and three stacks on it.
2. Horizontal loading container ship (semi container), the charge was
not until the edge of the deck, just above the lid palkah and not
sepanjag deck.

The engine room is generally dielakang goal is the use of parallel

middle body as optimum load space. When the engine room is located
in the middle of the room in the back room mesi can not be loaded
because there is saft tunnel.
Cover palkah container ship
System obturation palkah on ships - container ship outline have the
system work and the same function, ie, used to cover the hole palkah
existing on container ships. But the little things that distinguish
between the deck of the vessel closure system with a system closure
deck cargo on container ships is the material - material or material
from the palakah manhole cover.
As we all know that the container ship carrying cargo consisting mostly
of containers or so-called container, so that the space muatnya should
have holes palkah large enough, or at least the same size as the size of
the container so that in the process of unloading muatnya vessel - the
vessel is able to do it with ease.
So that tends to be on the ship - ship container had holes big enough
palakah when compared with material from the cargo ship biasa.dan
palkah cover material must have sufficient strength, because in
general, on top of the cover is mostly palkah owner (shipowner) wants
to maximize load space. Therefore, when the load space is already
filled by the container, the owner (the ship owner) can still put a
container of the above palkah existing manhole cover so that the
existing space on a ship can be loaded to the maximum. Therefore, on
ships - container ships panutup palakahnya must be made of a strong
material such as steel (pontoon) in order to put the container on the
palkah manhole cover.
This is what distinguishes the cover palakah on cargo ships with a
container ship. To that end, because on top of the cover palkah still
loaded container again then there are calculations - calculations that

there are additional bebean on construction kapal.dan this case should be calculated and considered in order of steel material
(pontoon) is capable of supporting the weight of containers with
makasimal.
As for the flap opening system palakah are mostly done by the slide
using a hydraulic system in view of the steel material (pontoon) are
very heavy and takes place there on the ship. Thus, in designing the
cover palkah for container ships should be noted also the place / space
available to put the cover palkah this palkah currently open.
Container
container has the international standard size, in units TEU with a length of 20
ft. Firm international standards organization (ISO) has set the sizes of
containers are as follows:
Container size 20 feet
outer size: 20 "(w) x 8 '(l) x 8'6" (t) or 6058 x 2438 x 2591 m
inside size: 5,919 x 2,340 x 2,380 m
