Pink Ribbon

Tournament
Information
Pack
17-20th June 2010
Welcome
Dear Participant,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for entering the Pink Ribbon Tournament. It will be the first
tournament to be held at the South West Snooker Academy and we have been overwhelmed by the
level of support.

There are three main aims for the Pink Ribbon. Firstly, we are raising money for breast cancer
charities and I am sure you all agree with me that this is a very worthy cause. Secondly, we hope that
through this tournament we may be able to promote more awareness of the disease and, most
importantly, educate people of the warning signs in an attempt to ensure that more people catch the
disease at an early stage. Thirdly, we want everyone involved to have fun!

By paying your entrance fee you have already ensured we are on course to raise much needed funds
for breast cancer charities. The very fact that you are participating has meant that the tournament can
go ahead and therefore work towards raising awareness. With the first two aims on course to being
fulfilled, all that is left now is to have fun and we hope each and every one of you will enjoy the
tournament.

This welcome pack will give you more details regarding the tournament and should answer any
questions you may have. There will be contact details inside in case your question is not answered
within this document.

We look forward to welcoming you to the South West Snooker Academy!

Regards

Paul Mount

BUY TICKETS

Each player will be permitted one free spectator ticket as well as their players pass. If any player
requires additional spectator tickets they will need to be purchased via Ticketweb at the link above.
We are selling spectator tickets for two reasons. Firstly, in order to maximise the money we can raise
for breast cancer charities. Secondly, we need to keep track on the number of people in the academy
at any one time due to health and safety restrictions. By selling tickets in advance we can ensure that
anyone who travels to support a player will be guaranteed entry into the Academy. We have kept the
prices for tickets low, especially considering the standard of players who will be taking part in the
tournament. Tickets will be available to buy on the day but will be on a strictly first come, first served
basis.

There will also be a camera filming various aspects of the tournament in

order to create a short video that will be published online after the event.
This video will give people a chance who were unable to attend the event
to get a behind the scenes look at the weekend. We will be trying to get
the views of as many of you as possible, for the video, on both the
tournament and the Academy.

As this is the opening weekend of the Academy we are also expecting some of the local media to
attend the tournament in order to report on both the Pink RIbbon and the South West Snooker
Academy.

Opening Ceremony
As the Pink Ribbon will also mark the opening of the South West Snooker Academy, we will be
holding a short ceremony to mark the start of the tournament. All players are invited to attend a short
meeting in the arena which will begin at 9:00am on the first day of play, 17th June 2010. Paul Mount
will give a brief talk about the tournament and the Academy before playing the first shot ever to be
taken in the South West Snooker Academy. All On Q Promotions players will be present at the
opening ceremony to participate in the official ribbon cutting.

We would be delighted if as many of you as possible could please attend this meeting and make the
first moments of play in the Academy as special as possible.
