(The Suez Canal is an artificial waterway in Egypt, connecting the Mediterranean Sea
and the Red Sea. Opened in November 1869 after 10 years of construction work. Its
construction began on 25 April, 1859 and completed in Nov, 1869. The canal is 193.30
km (120.11 mi) long, 24 m (79 ft) deep and 205 meters (673 ft) wide).

Concrete Dam?
A concrete dam is a structure designed and built for the purpose of holding back water

the strongest type of dam built in modern times and may take several forms. Concrete
itself is a building material made from water, cement, sand and gravel, or aggregate. In
modern times, nearly every dam is made either partially or entirely from concrete.
Grand Coulee Dam is the largest concrete structure ever built. Several other dams in the
world are larger, but they include earthen beams
