STAGE 1 Checking Assignment


TIME: about 5
SKILLS: speaking, writing, reading
MATERIALS: textbook
ORGANISATION: whole class
INTERACTION: student teacher; teacher student
COMPETENCE: checking homework and possible difficulties in students assimilation of the
previous lesson
PROCEDURE: Teacher asks students to volunteer to read their homework. Students take
turns in reading their homework and correct the mistakes in their notebooks if any.

STAGE 2 Warm-up

ORGANISATION: group work

PROCEDURE: Students are divided in four teams; teacher asks each team to say the name of
some school objects that she shows in the classroom; the team that gives the most correct
answers wins.

PROCEDURE: Students receive worksheets which they have to solve; after ten minutes, the
students take turns in reading aloud how they have solved the tasks; the teacher
formulates appreciations and corrects mistakes when they appear.

digital book: video page 10, 11, 12); the students have to watch and listen and afterwards
to read the text Time for school! on page 10 (from Fairyland 3A); the teacher monitors
the students, corrects the mistakes when they appear and formulates appreciations.

STAGE 5 Controlled Practice
