CHAPTER 1 DESCRIPTION OF THE USB CARD

The USB card, code 50288, permits interfacing control units that can support it at
USB volatile memory, duly formatted in FAT32 before use. The card can support
both the USB 1.1 and the 2.0 modalities and houses a 3V lithium battery, model
EBR2330/CR2330 (265mAh), the theoretical lifespan of which should be 2 and a
half years.
Currently, the 50288 card may be installed in control units TE550 (Code
50275) and TE700 (Code 50276).

1.1 MAIN FEATURES

version as compared to the one installed in the control unit.

It is advisable to repeat the BACKUP procedure every time

changes are made in the parameters used.

If the BACKUP USB procedure is not carried out correctly, the control unit will
display the BACKUP FAIL message to inform the user that the procedure failed.

CHAPTER 5 WELD SPOTS BACKUP

Every single weld spot carried out by the control unit can be saved directly in the
USB key through the 50288 card.
Weld data saved in the USB key might reduce the feasible
spots/minute due to transmission time between control unit and
USB key.
By programming the PRINTER SPOTS parameter in the control unit SETUP
MENU, the user may select which weld spots are to be saved. The backup may be
disabled (PRINTER SPOTS parameter set to NONE), all spots may be saved
(PRINTER SPOTS parameter set to ALL), or save only those whose value is
beyond limits (PRINTER SPOTS parameter set to BAD).
Insert the USB key into the 50288 card before beginning the cycle
and disconnect it only when the control unit is not carrying out
any weld cycles. Otherwise, saved data will not be guaranteed and
data contained inside the USB key and in the control unit might be
will not be held liable for the improper use of the

device.

The following data is saved for each run weld:

- weld program number (PROG);
- number of cycles with which the weld was carried out (CYCLES);
- weld current value (CURRENT);
- weld current conduction angle (DEGREE);
- measured energy value (ENERGY);
- spot number (SPOTS);
- measured thickness (THICKNESS) when the position sensor is present;
- measured indentation value (INDENTATION) when the position sensor is
present;
- warning that spot is out of limit (LIMIT);
- time and date when the weld spot was carried out (TIME & DATE).

REPLACING THE BATTERY

Exercise great caution when replacing the battery.
Turn off the card.
Pay utmost attention to battery polarity by carefully adhering to the instructions
shown in the figure. Inserting the battery incorrectly could cause irreparable
damage.
IMPORTANT!
The card contains a 3V lithium battery, model
EBR2330/CR2330 (265mAh), which has a
theoretical lifespan of 2 and a half years.
Once the foregoing period has elapsed, check the
date and time set inside the control unit on a regular
basis since they could be wrong. In that case,
replace the battery.
Do not throw new or used batteries into fire.
Do not disassemble the batteries.
Use only LITHIUM batteries.
Keep the batteries out of children's reach.
TO HELP SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT, IT IS

COMPULSORY
TO THROW AWAY EXPIRED BATTERIES INTO
THE SPECIFIC BATTERY RECYCLE BINS.

Correct product disposal (electric and electronic scrap)

(Applicable to countries of the European Union and those that adopt selective waste
collection systems).
The brand name on the product or in its documentation indicates that the product must not
be disposed of along with other household waste at the end of its lifecycle.
In order to avoid damage to the environment or to people's health, caused by the
inappropriate disposal of waste, the user should separate this product from other types of
waste and recycle it responsibly to help the environment-friendly reuse of material
resources.
Household users should contact the retailer who sold the product or the Local Office in
charge of all separate waste collection area information and the recycling of this type of
product.
Commercial users should contact their supplier and check the terms and conditions of the
purchase contract. This product must not be disposed of together with other commercial
