The results of our recent poll of likely general election voters in Virginias 10 th Congressional District
shows LuAnn Bennett taking the lead in the race for Congress and in a strong position to defeat
Congresswoman Barbara Comstock in November.

Bennett Has Closed The Gap On The Ballot, Now Leads Comstock
In our September poll, Barbara Comstock led by 4% (41% Bennett, 45% Comstock, 1% another
candidate and 12% undecided). Now, LuAnn Bennett leads by 4% (46% Bennett, 42% Comstock, 1%
another candidate and 11% undecided). After pushing undecided voters to s ee which way they lean,
Bennett remains up by 4% (48% Bennett, 44% Comstock, 1% another candidate and 7% undecided).

Most Voters See Comstocks Un-Endorsement For What It is, Political Expediency
A majority (57%) of voters say Barbara Comstocks announcement that she will not support Donald
Trump shows that she will do what is in her political self-interest, while 28% say it shows she is an
independent minded person who is willing to break with her party when she believes it is the right thing.
Even among Republicans, more (48%) see her move as motivated by self-interest than as trying to do the
right thing (35%).

Comstocks Unfavorable Ratings Continue to Rise


Congresswoman Barbara Comstocks unfavorable ratings have continued to go up as voters learn more
about her and now more voters are unfavorable towards her than are favorable towards her. In our
September poll, 45% were favorable towards Comstock, while 35% were unfavorable. Now, 41% say
they are favorable towards Comstock, while 44% say they are unfavorable.

A Majority of Voters Are Favorable Towards President Obama and Half Approve of the Job He Is
Doing
President Obama is popular (61% say they are favorable towards him, 38% say they are unfavorable)
and half (51%) say he is doing an excellent/good job as President, while 48% say he is doing a fair/poor
