Course Objective
This is a foundation course designed to introduce students to the theory of general management
and organization system as a framework of the professional practice of construction management.
Class work
The class schedule for the entire course consists of 20 sessions, each of 80 minutes duration.
Homework and Assignments
All students are expected to submit minimum of one well-structured Term Paper. The term paper
should be submitted in original and it should not be mere copy of any book or others assignment.
Mentioning of ones own experience from the industry or else citing someones experience is
highly appreciated. Advance preparation before the class is highly desirable.
Pedagogy
All sessions will be made as more interactive one. Students participation and their valuable
inputs are highly appreciated. Each session will start with the LCD presentation followed with
discussion. The other method would be used in the classroom are case study analysis, quiz, and
role-plays.
