Deception of Amillennialism

(and derivatives Post Millennialism, etc.)

Amillenialism - The belief that the millennium mentioned in Revelation will not happen or is not
a future event but has already come, and we are in it now. Spiritually and or invisibly.

Let no one deceive you even if it seems to be a letter from the apostles themselves,
a spirit or any kind of message -Paul
2 Thessalonians 2:3

Amillennialism (No Millennium) that is the literal meaning of the word. I consider
this subject very serious because even in the name of the view it claims there will
be no millennium. Now the book of Revelation clearly speaks of the coming
millennial reign of Jesus Christ on Earth after the Anti-Christ (the man) if defeated
and Satan is bound by Angel Michel and locked in the Abyss.

WARNING:
The book of Revelation warns of what will happen to those who ether adds to the
book of Revelation or take away from it. I consider Amillennialism a clear case of
taking away from the book of Revelation as it contradicts Jesus, even in its name.
Implying No Millennium will physically happen, when in Revelation Jesus clearly
said there shall be a millennium (A Physical 1000-year reign of Christ on Earth
from the seat of His father David).
Here is that scripture- we should take Jesus very serious in his warnings of the
penalty of contradicting His word.
Revelation 22:18-19
I warn everyone who hears the prophecy of this book. If anyone add anything
to it God will add to him the pelages described in this book. If anyone takes
away from this book God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and
out of the Holy City. As well as the other things written in this book.

How the deception of Amillennialism

negatively impacts a Christian life and world view.
1. Leads to spiritualizing that which should not in the Bible and not spiritualizing that which
should.
2. Leads to serious spiritual weakness and a lack of understanding of or ability to engage in
spiritual warfare. As many people who hold such views believe Satan is bound in the Abyss
already. They do not believe the clear teaching of the Bible that Lucifer has active control of the
whole world. His fallen angels and demons are constantly deceiving the world and trying to
deceive Christians. After all what was the reason Paul gave for us to put the Armor of God on
every day in the last chapter of Ephesians? Because as believers we are fighting not against flesh,
but against Principalities. Powers, spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. (Put simply
this means Arch Demon princes, Demons and the greater Fallen Angels such as Satan.)
3. Leads to ignorance of prophecy, how it will be and is being fulfilled in our days. Jesus chided
the religious leaders as well as common people of his day for not only not understanding Gods
prophetic time table but also not knowing how it was being fulfilled in those days You can read
the weather; how is it you cannot understand the signs of the times -as Jesus said.
4. As most people who believe this lie think we are already in the Millennium and Jesus has
already come but spiritually and invisibly. They tend to expect the world to get better and better.
When the Bible clearly says it will get worse and worse until it is so bad if God does not
intervene no flesh will survive it. Not only is this state of our world clearly thought in the Bible it
is also obvious all around us. But again such people not only do not realize the days we are living
in they do not study the times to find out what is really going on. Instead when they hear
anything that sounds strange to them about our times or how the prophecies are being fulfilled
they simply dismiss it as a conspiracy theory.
5. Worst of all this way of believing calls God a liar. Not only Did God clearly promise to Marry
through the Angel Gabriel that her son would sit on the throne of his father David. He also
promised David that too. It is also throughout the entire Bible that when Jesus returns after
destroying the Anti-Christ, He will sit on the throne of David and rule the world from Jerusalem.
This has never happened Davids throne did not even exist in the days Jesus was alive on earth.
But God promised one day Israel would be a nation again, and that nation would be made in a
day. And after the tribulation or (time of Jacobs trouble) the true messiah would return and all the
Jews would see him and know finally Jesus is the one they pierced he is they messiah. And Jesus
will reign as king on the earth with his saints 1000 years, while Satan is physically bound in
chains by Michel and thrown in the Abyss.
6 Many people who hold the view, do not believe in the Bibles clear teaching of a man coming
known as the Anti-Christ or Pseudo -Christ. Even though Jesus himself told the Jews that though

they rejected him as messiah and he was truly from God. One day a man would come in his own
name and they would receive him as messiah.
Jesus right there prophecies both the coming of a false Christ and the fact that Israel would be
deceived by him. That has never happened in the history of the Jews yet, as they are still looking
for their messiah. The man they one day accept will be the Anti-Christ. Either that or Jesus was
lying. Remember though people who hold this view are essentially calling God a liar.
So not understanding the biblical antichrist and the last days leads to a warped world view. This
seems to be the reason those who follow such a teaching have little to no understanding of the
current push for a one world order under a world leader. Just as Nimrod the first antichrist type.
Lead the whole world in rebellion against God. This man known as the Anti-Christ has more than
33 titles in the Bible almost as many as Jesus himself.

Case against Amillennial lie

There is a crazy amount of common sense problems the lie has. For instance, The Bible describes
when the millennium comes Jesus returns physically to Earth and rules from Jerusalem. Also at
the beginning of this thousand-year period Satan is bound in the abyss and no sin exists on earth
anymore - so much so that even the predatory animals such as the lions will no longer kill each
other, but will eat grass. Children will play with snakes because no animal will hurt any other or
any man.
If any of that has happened, I missed it. But those who believe this lie twist the scripture and
allegorize it until it fits their delusion. But every deception that will attack the church is already
preempted in scripture.
In this case, it seems the believers in Thessalonica were also being deceived by a similar
deception that the Day of the Lord already came.
2 Thessalonians 2. The whole chapter is dedicated to refuting Thessalonicas and any future
deception that the day of the Lord will come before some very precise signs happen. Paul also
makes it clear that the people of Thessalonica seemed to believe that it was the Apostles
themselves who created this belief. However, Paul says that it is a lie and not from them in the
first verse of chapter two. Implying that if a similar future belief rose in the church it would rise
from Biblical teachers, or the thought that the Apostles of the first century church advocated the
view. Just as Amillennialism did rise from bible teachers in the church. Still today it has invaded
most denominational churches especially those that are directly connected to the reformation.
The following verse leaves no doubt that the Lord will not come until the apostasy {or great
falling away} and then the antichrist being revealed. And the antichrist cannot be any past
antichrist type, like Antiochus Epiphanies, because this one sits in Gods temple, proclaiming
himself to be god. That has never happened.

Also it makes it clear that when Jesus returns, the brightness of His coming shall destroy the
antichrist. Furthermore, Jesuss own words said His coming would be seen by everyone as
lightning flashing across the sky.

2 Thessalonians 2
Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from
your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from
us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy
comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who
opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that
he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you
not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And
you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the
mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do
so until he is taken out of the way.

Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of
His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one
whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and
false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish,
because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this
reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what
is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth,
but took pleasure in wickedness.

Is the modern Denominational church/ Reform church in

prophecy?
Yes. Revelation 2-3 the letters to the 7 churches. Not only were letters to churches of Johns day
they also lay out a prophetic history of the church. And have a prophetic application to every
believer as much as they share the view of the church in the letter. I.e. each believer is of one or
more of each church. But only the last 4 letters are relevant to us today as the last fore churches
exist until the end or to the the Great Tribulation. I.E the last four letters cover all churches that

exist today and will till Jesus returns. Now lets look at the history of the church in the letters and
see with is the modern denominational/ reform church.
1. Ephesus = the Apostolic Church/ 1st century.
2. Smyrna = The Persecuted Church.
3. Pergamos= Married to the world church
4. Thyatira= Mid-evil Church/Catholic Church
5. Sardis= The Reformation Church/Denominational Church
6. Missionary Church/ Non-denominational or Jesus movement based
7. The Apostate Church/ Jesus on the outside/Name it and claim it church etc.

Sardis is the letter to the Reform based and Denominational church of our day. And the
letter will reflect all I said above and how the views of such things as Amillennialism have
affected the way Jesus responds to the church in this letter. First lets look at some general
characteristic of the modern denominational church, which are all rooted in the reformation so
particularly the modern reform church.

A Soft Hermeneutical tradition (tent to allegorize scripture)

B Denial of Millennial reign of Christ. (apparent in views such as Amillennialism will lead
to not only missing appearing of Christ but appearing of antichrist)
C Denial of Israels prophetic destiny (shows up in views such as replacement theology or
general lack of understanding of Gods plan for Israel)

D Recent declaration of unity with the Catholic church (some have done this, which
will lead to becoming part of the antichrist one world religion and labeling real or prophetic
believers as heretics and persecuting them)

Before we get into some highlights from the letter to Sardis. Lets look at the history of the actual
city because even that prophetically reflects the letter and the church the letter is meant for.
(Reform/Denominational Church)

History of City Sardis

One of the oldest and most prominent citys. Located at center of many roads so it was very
wealthy. Associated with the Legend of king Midas (likely because of the gold found in its river)

The proverbs the city became identified with are also reflected in the church the letter is written
to. You will see why from citys history.
1 Pretentions Unjustified
2 Promise without performance
3 Appearance without reality
4 False confidence brining ruin
5 Betray themselves by lack of watchfulness and diligence
Sardis history
The arrogant city believed impregnable but falsely. Sardis had high walls and was at the top of a
1000-foot cliff on three sides. So its people believed it to be impregnable and routinely did not
watch or guard any part but of the city but the front. But they were wrong. The cliffs Sardis sat
on were made of clay and were prone to crack. Which could be and would be used by and
enemy.
Example 554 BC the king of Sardis was defeated on the battle field and retreated into the city
believing it to be impregnable. Not bothering to put guards or watchmen on any part of the wall
but the front. Cyrus after a 14-day siege with his army scaled the cliffs the city was not watching
and the city was taken unaware.
(Like a thief in the night) was how historians described the fall of the city.
The people did not learn their lesson because 214 BC Antiochus Epiphanies took the city the
exact same way. (all of this is prophetic as Antiochus Epiphanies was a major type of the coming
antichrist. this reflects the Sardis church will not see the real antichrist coming {because they
dont believe in an actual man who is a coming antichrist} and will possible be occupied by him)
This exact same thing happened over and over to Sardis five or six times throughout history.
Thus the city became synonymous with arrogant confidence that lead to destruction.
The Letter to Sardis (Modern Reform/Denominational Church)
I suggest reading and studying the letter yourself but lets see what Jesus says is the problem
with the church of Sardis and what I believe he is saying to reform and denominational church
today. Because it reflects exactly the problems I state in this article with belief in lies such as
Amillennialism. And what the penalty will be for holding to them. Here is the scripture and how
I believe Jesus is trying to speak to the believers in the church of Sardis which is all of the reform
and denominational churches of today. Though I suggest you study all this yourself as all
believers must. I hope you will see and understand the love in which this whole message is
written.

Revelation 3

To the angel of the church in Sardis write:

He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: I know your deeds, that you
have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. (trusting in the words but not the Spirit)
Wake up/ be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have
not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent.

Therefore, if you do not wake up/and watch, I will come like a thief, and you will
not know at what hour I will come to you. No surprise if you are not watching
(understanding prophetic time table) for Jesus return he will come when you dont
expect, and so will the false version.
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with
Me in white, for they are worthy. (a little scary implies only a few actually saved among these
churches)
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the
book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (this goes back
to the warning I gave at the beginning of this paper that happens to those who take away from
the book of Revelation)

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Here is the hope. Its not
too late to change. Overcome the deceptions that are blinding you and all will be well.)
