Universities in Andhra Pradesh.

ORDER:
A Committee was constituted by the Higher Education Department,
Government of AP on 10-8-2015 for rationalizing the teaching staff in various
Universities in the State to overcome imbalances in demand and supply of teachers
vide Reference first read above. The Committee has considered the number of
unfilled vacant posts including unfilled advertised posts as on the date of the
formation of the Committee and submitted its report in which it has recommended
for filling up of 1385 teaching posts in various Universities in the State in two
phases (2016-17 and 2017-2018) and the Government has accepted the
recommendations of the High Power Committee.

In reference third read above orders have been issued according permission for
direct recruitment to 1104 teaching posts in first phase 2016-17 and 281 teaching
posts in the second phase 2017-2018 based on the recommendations of the High
Power Committee.

In reference fourth read above, the H.E Department has informed that in the
orders issued in the reference third read above, there are some items which are not
fully in adherence to the recommendations of the High Power Committee and also
requested to issue necessary orders for according permission for direct recruitment
to teaching positions university-wise and cadre-wise as per the recommendations of
the High Power Committee.

Government, after careful examination of the request of the H.E department,
hereby accord permission for direct recruitment to 1104 teaching posts in first
phase 2016-2017 and 281 teaching posts in second phase 2017-2018 in various
Universities in the State as per the recommendations of the High Power Committee
as abstracted below, the details of which are also mentioned in Annexure - I
appended to this order.

hereby issue orders for conversion of Professor / Associate Professor / Physical
Director etc., as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor / Assistant P.D. as the case
may be, and for suppression and transfer of posts within the University
Departments and for merger of the University Departments as detailed in the
Annexure-II appended to this order.
6.
With the issue of these orders the contents contained in the reference third
read above stand super-ceded.
