Problem 1 (20 pts)

The winch shown includes a 3.7 KW motor with 60 mm diameter
motor pulley and a 300 mm diameter drum pulley mounted to a
180 mm cable drum. It is observed that the lifted acceleration of
the cable supported load is:
a = s / 3 m/s/s where s is in
meters. Starting from rest at s = 0, determine (a) the angular
velocity of the motor when the load has risen s = 10 m and (b)
the angular acceleration at this instant.

Problem 2 (20 pts)

A motor drives gear A at an angular acceleration of alphaA=
0.37 (theta^3 + 15) rad/s2 where theta in radians is the
angular displacement of A. If this gear is initially turning at
the angular velocity omegaAo = 22 rad/s, determine (a) the
angular velocity and (b) the angular acceleration of gear D
