Europe is at a turning point. After the financial crisis and the ongoing refugees crisis, which showed the limits
of today's union based on national interests and the lack of European solidarity, the Brexit vote put into
question the very essence of the European project: our unity.
The only way to tackle these and a growing number of other global, regional and local challenges while preserving our principles is to work together as Europeans without falling into the trap of nationalism and populism. To do so, we must rediscover the founding principles of the European project and tackle the most pressing of our European crises: the lack of long-term vision of where we are heading.
Aware of the need to "federate the federalists" - already identified as a key objective at the last convention and determined to engage citizens more actively and directly in the European project, the 6th European federalist convention will be the occasion to present a new approach for citizens' participation at European level,
reinforce our cooperation Europe-wide with other like-minded movements and discuss together about our
future priorities!
