Quiz Friday Work and energy. Here is what you need to know:

Energy can change from one form to another, but the total amount of energy
in the universe stays the same (energy is conserved).

Energy is transformed from potential energy to kinetic energy and vice versa, but the
sum of the two is constant.
Work is done when a force is applied to an object and the object moves in the
direction of the applied force
Kinetic energy increase linearly with mass and with the square of the velocity (energy
of motion).
Potential energy is the energy an object has due to its position (stored energy).
Power is equal to the force times speed.
