Shortly( a*er( midnight( on( October( 15,( a( female( student( a:empted( to( use( a( ride( share( service( to( return( to
campus(from(the(West(Seventh(Street(entertainment(district.((A(male(who(idenAed(himself(as(a(driver(for(Ly*
contacted(the(student(and(oered(to(drive(her(back(to(campus.((A*er(picking(up(the(student,(the(male(oered
her( an( unknown( tablet( and( a( bo:le( of( water.( ( The( student( reported( while( riding( in( the( car( she( became
incapacitated( and( was( sexually( assaulted( by( the( male.( ( The( student( also( said( that( a( second( male( may( have
assisted( in( the( assault( and( acted( as( the( driver( while( the( assault( was( occurring.( ( A*er( the( assault( the( male
dropped(the(student(o(at(a(locaAon(near(her(dorm.
The(suspect(is(described(as(a(black(male(25I35(years(of(age(with(short(hair(and(mustache.((He(was(driving(a
small(dark(colored(vehicle(and(claimed(to(be(working(for(the(Ly*(ride(share(service.((The(second(subject(is(only
described(as(a(black(male.

Be aware of your surroundings.

Always travel in pairs with trusted companions, especially at night or in remote areas.

At night, walk in well<lighted pedestrian routes.

Dont accept drinks or other items from strangers.

On campus, use shuttle service, Froggy 5<0 and other escort services when available.

When reporting suspicious activity, be a good witness. Describe exactly what you observe with
as many details as possible. Give complete descriptions such as sex, race, height, weight, hair
color, clothing, etc. If a vehicle is involved, note the color, make, model and, if possible the
license plate.
