Introduction
There is a requirement where you need to remove unnecessary segments from IDOCs. Perfect example
would be ARTMAS where a lot of segments are generated by SAP whereas you need only few.
SAP provides a standard solution to remove unnecessary segments.

Basics steps to follow

Generate an IDOC before the configuration

Go to transaction BD56 and enter the message type

Maintain the segments to be removed by partner

Generate an IDOC after the configuration and compare

Example
Remove unnecessary segments from ARTMAS.

Maintain the segments to be removed with partner details

Enter below information

Sender partner type

Sender partner ID
Partner function
Receiver partner type
Receiver partner ID
Partner role
Segment to be removed from the IDOC

Generate an IDOC after the configuration and compare.
