No Contractual Policy

It is the new administration that is implementing the non contractualization policy of some
companies who have a lot of employee. Because the new administration believes that is so hard
for some employee whenever there contract end, they need to find onother job or they need to
renew their contract, fix and pass all the requirements, although they already done with their
papers the time they first apply with the job. But there are some companies that are imfavor with
the issue and they stated that they want to give chances to others.
By now it is on going process, but Sen. Joel Villianueva or also known as "tesda man" stated that
the law of no-contractualiztion will be effective by this year. They are pursuing this law to help a
lot of people. And increase the number of person who have their regular job. This law can also
decrease the number of people who are indigent. It can also lessen the drug user because instead of
drinking and using drugs, they give time on doing very well their job to get a high salary and a
good record.
But there are companies that still disagreeing with the non contractual policy For example, the
mall operators will not be allowed to hire sales ladies on a contractual basis because malls are in
the business of selling.Contractualization is an arrangement where workers are hired for not more
than five months, stripping them of benefits granted to regular employees by law.
Contractual arrangements may be allowed for seasonal workers like security personnel and
janitors. But by now there are some factory that are already implement the non contractual policy.
When you are a regular employee you will get a lot of benefits and bonus during christmas not
like when you have a contract for five months after your contract you will get nothing on working
for five months. It is like nonsense because you will get nothing for continously working hard.
Like the other issue there are pro and anti about the contractual issue. Companies have their own
reasons why they are favor and not favor with the issue. For example some company stated that
they cannot implement the non contractual policy because of the number of their employee. They
cannot give benefits and bonuses during christmas to all of there employee. But there are also
company that are infavor with the non contractual policy because they have a small number of
employe and they can afford to give benefits and bonuses to there employee. It simply shows that
the issue depends on the number of employee that company have if they will be implement the
policy or not.
But whatever the company opinions are the non contractual policy depends on our administration
now if they are going to approve the policy and decide to imply it by this year. But I believe that
our administration is pursuing just the best and effective law that will help the filipino people to be
more responsible with all of the things that they decided to do.
