Padjadjaran University Student's Hope

University? Have you heard that term? Certainly is not foreign to our ears. So what
exactly is the university? Instutusi university is a higher education and research that provides
academic degrees in various fields. There is often called the university college is composed of
the faculty organizes scientific and professional education in a number of specific disciplines.
University education is continued after we graduated from high school or vocational
school. Usually a university closely linked with the name of the student, and why? Because
they are the elements and the important roles of a university can be realized. Surely
universities in Indonesia is very much one of them is the University of Padjadjaran,
sometimes referred to Unpad included into the category of public universities that exist in our
country.
Unpad established on 11 September 1957 with campus locations in Bandung.
Padjadjaran University received accreditation higher education institution with a rating of
"A" on January 16, 2014 from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education, but it
also Univeritas listed as state universities with the largest interest in Indonesia. With these
achievements would make us proud as the students, but these achievements were not obtained
it without their roles and functions for the good of the students themselves, including:
a) The role of the moral, the campus is a world in which every student freely choose the life
they want. Here demanded a moral responsibility towards individual self as an individual to
be able to live a life that is responsible moral things live in a moral society.
b) The social role, in addition to individual responsibility, the students also have a social role,
namely that the existence and everything he does is not only beneficial for itself but should
also bring benefits for the environment.
c) The role of the intellectual, the student as a person who is touted as the human intellect
should be able to realize that status in the realm of real life. In a sense realized that the basic
functions of a student is struggling with science and provide a better change with intellect
possessed during their education.
With our roles are so clearly as a student of course, we must have and save a great
hope for the progress of the University Padjdjaran. Hope it certainly could be the point of
reference of our students in order to improve the quality of the university expected. Due to
the advancement of a university course will never be separated from the role of students
themselves. With a variety of roles available and implemented from students who have an
expectation of the University of Padjadjaran in order to become a university excel in
Indonesia as evidenced by the establishment of graduate human resources who are competent
in the field of their respective, way is by way of at enhancing the quality of the entire
academic community at the University Padjadjaran both in academic and non-academic.

From the expectations described earlier universities is expected to form the academic
community, which then it will be a function of the students themselves. The academic
community itself has two characteristics: it has a sense of crisis, and constantly develop
themselves.
The academic community must have a sense of crisis that is sensitive and critical of
the problems that occurred around this time. It will grow by itself when the student follows
the character of science, which is always looking for scientific justifications. By following
the nature of science, the students are expected to understand the problems that occur and
moreover find the right solutions to solve them.
Academia must always develop themselves so that they can be the generation that is
responsive and able to face future challenges.
In terms of the academic community as a person who always follow the nature of science, it
is also associated with the student's role as the guardian of values, where students have to find
the values of truth itself, then forward it to the public, and the important thing is to maintain
the value of the truth.
Thus it can be concluded that there is no one among the students who do not save a great
hope for the survival of the university, they would always hope that they occupy university
could become a superior university and according to expectations.
