"Here's where we're at. What do we need to do to get better next year?".

As president, Gary
Johnson will revisit our education system. His plan is to give more control to the state and local
governments. He also wants to eliminate the Federal Department of Education, since he
believes they have no real role in public education. Gary also has a plan to eliminate common
core. These vigorous test are known to not really help students, but instead are pressuring
students. He will help out low-income families by creating a voucher system. With these
vouchers, mothers will be able to send their children to any private school.
There are many who also view the common core system as not helpful. There is no real
evidence given that common core will help improve the quality of education, and as Gary has
said, these vigrous test can actually harm children. The federal government should actually get
an established role. As stated in an article written by the Washington Post, What the federal
government should not be doing is getting involved in day to day decision making of running
schools, and managing budgets, setting curriculum, and deciding which teachers to hire and
fire. This is exactly what Gary Johnsons view is.
On the other hand, Hillary Clinton does not support Gary Johnsons views. She believes that the
testing system based on common core does have value and is helping to organize our
education system. But where is the evidence? She believes that every child, no matter their
background should be guaranteed a high quality education. She also wants to help modernize
every school across America, but how ? Where will she get the fundings for this?
