According to Politifact, what Trump said is true. There have been


more than 3,000 shooting victims in Chicago this year so far.

According to the Chicago Tribune Crime in Chicagoland, there have been 3, 221
shooting victims in Chicago this year. This is definitely shocking! This website
also displays a list of where the shooting happened, and whether the victim was a
male or female.

The expert i found was Adam Lankford, he is a criminology professor at the
University of Alabama. His opinion on this situation is that just because someone
is shot, that doesnt mean it was necessarily homicide.
