ERIKA FLINT TO REPLACE DENISE YOUNG AS FDRHPO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

FDRHPOs Board of Directors has selected Erika Flint as the agencys next executive director to replace Denise K. Young.

WATERTOWN Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organizations Board of Directors is pleased to announce Erika F.
Flint as the agencys next executive director. She will replace current Executive Director Denise K. Young.
Mrs. Flint currently serves as DSRIP director for the North Country Initiative, where she works side-by-side with FDRHPO
to strengthen the health care system in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. She assumed this role in January
2015 after serving for five years as executive director of the Watertown Urban Mission. Before her time at the Urban
Mission, she worked as FDRHPOs Regional Recruitment Project Manager.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration from the
University of Phoenix. Mrs. Flint serves on the boards of several community organizations, including the North Country
Family Health Center, Watertown Local Development Corporation and WPBS, among others. She is also a 2014 recipient
of the ATHENA Leadership Award and was named one of NNY Business Magazines 20 Under 40 in 2011.
She lives just outside of Dexter with her husband, Travis J., and their two sons, Lukas B., 6, and Micah D., 4.
Erika Flint is mission focused and cares deeply about the people of the North Country region served by FDRHPO, Mrs.
Young said. The Board of Directors selection of Erika has made my transition easier as I am confident that I leave the
organization in excellent hands. Erika skills and the outstanding support team at the FDRHPO will ensure the
organizations continued success.
Erikas experience as a leader and her proven track record managing multiple large scale grant and community projects
gave the Board confidence to unanimously appoint her as the next executive director, FDRHPO Board Chairman
Thomas H. Carman said.
In her new role, Mrs. Flint will implement the organizations long-range goals, strategies and policies and ensure that
FDRHPOs mission and core values are carried out to meet the health needs of the community. Serving as the public face
for the agency, she will coordinate with multiple partners including hospitals and health centers, military partners, local
elected officials and numerous community-based organizations to leverage health care assets and maximize resources
for the north countrys military and civilian residents.
I am humbled by the Boards decision and excited for the opportunity to lead a strong, community-minded and patientfocused agency like FDRHPO, Mrs. Flint said. I have always been passionate about improving the lives of fellow north
country residents, and I am thrilled to continue my career with an agency and team that shares this same passion.

Mrs. Flint will work closely with Mrs. Young during a transition period. Mrs. Young will assume her new position as chief
executive officer of the Watertown Family YMCA on Jan. 1, 2017.
A plan to fill Mrs. Flints current position of DSRIP director is still being discussed and will be announced at a later date.
