I have known Mr. Ibrahim Al Salman for long time. I have studied different courses with

him, including morphology, comparative linguistics in addition to other courses in applied

linguistics. Mr. Ibrahim Al Salman was academically one of the top students. He was a
cooperative, helpful and thoughtful student. The students would often refer to him for
academic advice. I, as his masters partner, recommend him for his PhD in Applied
Linguistics.

HOW CONFIDENT ARE YOU THAT THE APPLICANT HAS THE SKILLS, APPLICATION AND ABILITY TO CARRY OUT SUCCESSFUL GRADUATE RESEARCH?

Mr. Ibrahim Al Salman was one of my best friends. He is so nice and helpful.
Academically speaking, Mr. Al Salman is a promising student at Yarmouk University. He
was so distinguished and smart student as we took different courses together and I know
him very well.
Furthermore, although Mr. Al Salman prefers individual work, he easily gets involved in
team work. In the light of the previously mentioned, I believe that Mr. Al Salman can
carry out his PhD study successfully.

ARE YOU AWARE OF ANY BARRIERS THAT MIGHT LIMIT THE APPLICANTS ABILITY TO SUCCEED AT DOCTORAL LEVEL STUDY? IF SO, PLEASE EXPLAIN.

I have known Mr. Al Salman for about 7 years and was his flatmate for 2 years. During
this period, I have known him to be so nice and approachable man. He is so helpful and
considerate to other people. On the other hand, his academic performance is so
distinguished; he is very intelligent and he a research-oriented person. I strongly believe
that Mr. Ibrahim Al Salman can successfully accomplish his PhD degree in Applied
Linguistics without any difficulties.
