TypesofAvailabilityCheckinSalesandDistribution
ProcessingTherearethreetypesofavailabilitycheck:
_CheckonthebasisoftheATPquantities
_Checkagainstproductallocation
_Checkagainstplanning
ThefollowingSDspecificcontrolfeaturesneedtobemaintainedinCustomizing:
_Checkinggroup
Thecheckinggroupcontrolswhetherthesystemistocreateindividualorcollective
requirementsinsalesandshippingprocessing.Inaddition,amaterialblockforthe
availabilitycheckwithtransferofrequirementscanbesethere.Thecheckinggroupcan
alsobeusedtodeactivatetheavailabilitycheck.Thisoptionwascreatedespeciallyfor
theassemblyordersothatwhenthebillofmaterialisexplodedintheassemblyorder,
theindividualcomponents,ifnecessary,canbeclassifiedasnoncriticalpartsasfaras
procurementisconcerned.
Thecheckinggroupspecifiesincombinationwiththecheckingrulethescopeofthe
availabilitycheck.Itisproposedinthematerialmasterrecordonthebasisofthematerial
typeandtheplant,andcopiedintothesalesanddistributiondocuments.ItisspecifiedinMMRinMRP3screen,availabilitychecktab.
_CheckingRule
Youusethecheckingruletocontrolthescopeoftheavailabilitycheckforeach
transactioninsalesanddistribution.Youalsospecifywhetherthecheckshouldbe
carriedoutincludingorexcludingreplenishmentleadtime.Theindividualcheckingrules
definebytransaction,whichkindsofstocksandinwardoutwardmovement(receiptsandissues)ofgoodsshould
betakenintoaccountfortheavailabilitycheck.
_Schedulelinecategory
Youcancontrolwiththeschedulelinecategorywhetheranavailabilitycheckand
transferofrequirementsshouldbecarriedoutinthesalesdocuments.Thepossible
settingsforthisatschedulelinelevelaredependentonthesettingsintherequirements
classwhichisdeterminedfromtherequirementstypeofthematerial.
_Deliveryitemcategory
Thedeliveryitemcategorycanbeusedtocontrolwhetheranavailabilitychecktakes
placeindeliveries.
Requirementstype
Thevariousrequirementsareidentifiedbytheirrequirementstype.Therequirements
typereferstotherequirementsclassanditscontrolfeatures.itisassignedtorequirementclass.
_RequirementsClass
Therequirementsclasscontainsallcontrolfeaturesforplanningsuchasrelevancefor
planning,requirementsplanningstrategyandrequirementsconsumptionstrategy.In
addition,itisspecifiedatagloballevelwhetheranavailabilitycheckistotakeplacefor
thematerialinthesalesanddistributiondocumentsonthebasisoftheATPquantity

CustomizingforSalesandtherelevantassignmentsmadetothesalestransactions
_Theavailabilitycheckmustbeswitchedonatrequirementsclasslevelandfortheavailabilitycheckinthesalesdocumentsatscheduleline
categorylevel
Arequirementstypemustexistbywhichtherequirementsclasscanbefound
_Aplantmustbedefined.Itcaneitherbeproposedfromthecustomerormaterialmaster
recordorcanbeenteredmanuallyinthedocument._AcheckinggroupmustbedefinedinthematerialmasterrecordontheSales/plantdata
screenintheAvailabilitycheckfield

logicoragainstplanningDefinecheckinggroups
YoucanuseSAPstdcheckinggroupsof01forsummarizedreqtsor02fordailyreqtsorucancreateurown.
ThecolumnstotalsalesandtotaldeliveriesareselectionoptionswherebyucanconfigureacheckingruletosumupreqtstoposttoMRP
eitherindividuallyorbydayorweek.
Column5,Blockqtysetthisblockifuwantseveraluserstobeabletoprocessthematerialsimultaneouslyindifferenttransactionswithout
blockingeachother.TheNoCheckindicatorisusedwhenuwantamaterialtonotberelevantforanATPcheck.
Definingamaterialblockforotherusers.TheBlockcheckboxisanindicatorthatenablesutoblocktheparticularmaterialfrombeing
checkedforavailabilityifitisalreadybeingcheckedatthesametimebyanotheruser.Definingthedefaultvalueforcheckinggroups.
Howevershouldnoentryexistforthecheckinggroupinthematerialmasterrecord,onecansetadefaultvaluepermaterialtypeandplant.
Controllingtheavailabilitycheck.Inthissection,utellthesystemwhatstockonhandandwhatinwardandoutwardmovementsofstockit
musttakeintoaccountwhenperformingtheavailabilitycheck.Thesesettingsarebasedonthecheckinggroupthatisassignedtothematerial
masterrecordandthecheckingrulethatispredefinedandassignedtothesdtransaction.Thecarryoutcontrolfortheavailabilitycheckmust
bemaintainedforboththesalesorderanddelivery.

TOR
IMGSDBasicfncsAvailabilitycheckandTORTOR
Alineiteminthesalesordercreatesascheduleline.TheschedulelinesinthesalesordertransfertherequirementsthroughtoMRP.Youcan
selectthedocsonwhichyouwanttheTORtohappen.Forex,notforquotations.
TheTORaimstoensuretheorderedmaterialsareavailablefortherequesteddeliverydate.TheTORcanbesetforindividualorforcollective
requirements(materialsmastersales/plantview).
TheTORisdependentonthefollowingdata:
Thereqtstype,reqtsclass,checkinggroupandschedulelinecategory.
Thereqtstypeandclassaredeterminedinthestrategygroup(materialmasterMRP3)
ForTORtobecarriedout,afewcriterianeedtobemet:
Plantassignedtolineitemlevel,schedulelinecategoryshouldbeswitchedonatTOR,TORmustbeswitchedonatthereqtsclasslevel,
checkinggroupmustbedefinedandallocatedtothematerialmasterrecord(sales/plantviewintheavailabilitycheckfield)
ThereqtsclassisthecontrollingfactorfortheavailabilitycheckandtheTORforallsdtypes.
ConfiguringtheTOR:
1)Usestd041reqtsclassorcopyandrenameit.Usetheindicatorstoselectifthisreqtsclassmustcarryoutanavailability
checkand/oraTOR.
2)Definethereqtstypes.Areqtstypeisallocatedtoasinglereqtsclassandnotviceversa.Itisbasedontheitemcategoryand
theMRPtypeofthematerial.
3)AssigntherqtstypetotherelevantitemcategoryinthesalesorderandtheMRPtypefoundonthematerialmasterrecord.
YoucanselectanalternativesearchstrategywhereuassignthereqtstypetoitemcategoryandMRPtype.Canselectsourceas0,
1or2.(1=ItemtypeandMRPtypestrategy).
4)TheTORandAvailabilitycheckcanbeselected/deselectedattheschedulelinecategorylevel.

5)Blockqtyconfirmationindeliveryblocks.ThisisusedtoblockthereservationoftheTORfromMRP.
6)MaintainrequirementsforTOR.RequirementscanbeusedtodeterminethattheTORtoMRPisnotcarriedoutunlessa
numberofconditionsaremet.

Stockrequirementslist=MD04sdnoordlyno,lineitem,schedulelineplacingthedemand
Stockoverview=MMBEtotalstockpercompany,thenplantfollowedbystoragelocation,andfinallyabreakdownperbatch.
