Interest rates on
Retail Segment Loans
Circular No.ITD/CBS/63/2011
Attention of all incumbents is invited to HO: IRMD L&A Cir. No.67/2011
dated 10.06.2011, inter-alia, advising revised rates of interest for housing
and personal loan granted under the BPLR system, w.e.f. 10.06.2011.
Under the BPLR system, the rate of interest on housing loan were not linked
with BPLR and quoted for two slabs of limits i.e. upto Rs.20 lac and above
Rs.20 lac, now the interest is to be charged under three slabs as is being
done under Base Rate system.
In order to implement the revised rates for housing loan under floating rate
option, the existing codes have been modified w.e.f. 10.06.2011 and new
interest rate codes have been created in Finacle Application. The applicable
interest rate codes are summarised in tables given below and the new
interest rate codes are given in Italics:

The interest rate code in following categories needs to be reviewed and the
applicable code may be assigned in the a/cs through INTTM giving Start
Date as 10-06-2011.
1. Floating rate housing loan accounts under BPLR system repayable
above 10 years,
2. Floating rate housing loan accounts under BPLR system above Rs. 20
lac under BPLR system, and
3. Education loan a/cs over Rs.7.5 lac under Base rate system.
All the Incumbents are advised to ensure the assignment of correct interest
rate code in the a/cs belonging to the aforesaid categories, and also ensure
the compliance of all other terms and conditions of HO: IRMD L&A
Cir.No.67/2011 dated 10.06.2011.
