BUYING DIAMONDS
Diamonds are a complicated subject and are priced on the secondary market depending on Demand. Old Mine Cut and old European Cut Diamonds of a carat (6MM) and larger are currently in demand by us. We buy all grades and qualities of these Old Miners. Naturally, the better the quality of the item, the better the price. Modern cut diamonds round cut is most in demand. The stones that hold their value best in the Modern Cut Diamond market are GIA certificate stones carat and up Round Cut. Smaller stones or non GIA Certificate Stones do not hold their value as well and stones of less than 5 points or 1/20 of a carat if of contemporary commercial quality have essentially no resale value. The cost of removing these stones from their settings prior to melting the gold outweighs their demand and consequent resale value. Larger Diamonds, above one Carat will always have a good value as the demand is there even if an undesirable cut or a poor color or internally flawed. 2 carat and up diamonds are desired by practically everyone and the buy price can range from 1000 and for a fair specimen to 5,000 for a good two carat diamond and 20,000 for the very best quality. Cut, Color and Clarity play important roles in determining the price.

BUYING ANTIQUE JEWELRY

We buy antique jewelry that is currently in demand such as Victorian Pierced Earrings or old White Gold Filigree rings in Gold and in Platinum and will pay above scrap value for these items. The field of antique jewelry is large and varied and it is impossible to list each item desired but we are good buyers and will pay strong priced for items we currently are seeking. We also repair antique jewelry for our own account and will pay premium prices above scrap, for Fine Jewelry that may need repair. Antique Jewelry dating before the Victorian Era is generally referred to as Georgian Jewelry and is scarce and hard to find today and consequently worth a considerable premium especially if it is a currently desirable item in good condition. Older Jewelry made by famous jewelers such as Tiffany, Cartier, Georg Jensen, Unger Brothers and Sprattling to name the best known, command substantial premiums especially if the items are in demand today. Please offer to us.

Phone 302-674-2345 or 302-736-0595 or www.collectors-exchange-inc.com BUYING OLD US TYPE COINS OR COLLECTOR COINS
An introduction to value based on condition Old US Coins are valued according to Condition. The closer to perfect new condition the coin is, the higher the value. Most old coins are found in worn condition and will grade somewhere between Almost Good (A.G.) and Very Good (V.G). Damaged circulated coins such as bad scratches, holes or corrosion will for the purposes of this buying list be qualified as Poor. Coins that have everything clearly legible and sharp are classified as Fine and nicer specimens within this group are classified as Very Fine (V.F.) or Extra Fine (E.F.). Coins that look just as they left the mint are in the Uncirculated (Unc) category, and those that just do not quite make Unc. are classified as Almost Uncirculated (A.U.). There are 10 grades of uncirculated and the grade depending on just how close to absolutely perfect the coin is. There are coin grading services that will grade and encapsulate your coin for fees ranging from $35.00 to several hundred dollars per coin depending on how quickly you want the service performed. Coins that have been cleaned or otherwise improved are less valuable than those that have been left in their natural state. Uncirculated coins that have been cleaned, mishandled, or otherwise improved are treated most harshly when determining price as they are not really Uncirculated anymore. The price generally drops to somewhere in the Very Fine to Abt Uncirculated status depending on the degree of cleaning or mistreatment. Circulated coins that have been cleaned or have mild damage such as minor scratches, rim nicks or other impairments will see their grade reduced commensurately. Old Copper coins and silver coins up to and including dollars are generally found in worn condition as they circulated extensively. Old Gold coins and old Silver Dollars are generally found in Very Fine to Uncirculated condition as they were held as stores of wealth and did not circulate much. Starting around 1960 most coins are found in Extra Fine to Uncirculated condition. The removal of Silver from the circulating coins of the United States, a situation which started in 1965 and was essentially complete by 1970 caused widespread hoarding of older United States Coins and coins removed from circulation during this time period are for the most part only worth Bullion or melt Value today. Coins produced by the United States Mint for sale to collectors starting around 1968 are a separate section and will not be dealt with in this price listing. Collectors Exchange Inc. does buy these coins but this Buying List is devoted to older US coins. Old Foreign coins are also in demand today and buying prices of Canadian Coins and other foreign coins will follow. One final word about these prices to follow: The coin market is a dynamic market and prices are constantly changing and no sooner is a list like this issued than it is obsolete. This list should be viewed as a guide and a snapshot of prices paid during the time when written. All old coins are dealt with individually and essentially have to be evaluated one at a time. The best evaluation is when a transaction occurs.

All prices are quoted for the commonest dates of each type. Better dates and varieties and better conditions will command higher prices. On higher priced coins authentication may be required before our purchase due to the recent appearance of high quality forgeries originating in Europe and China and

elsewhere. Because of volatile markets, all prices are subject to change without notice.
