Overall Notes

What to do before next lesson (Wednesday, November 2nd):

o Work out Foolish to Think
o Listen to other recordings of Thomas Hampson
o Work on consonants in Amor Chattendi
o Keep The Daisies in mind through the week and keep it clean
Warm-Up Procedures and Inspirations for Warm Ups: (from last week, but I
wanted to keep them in mind)
o American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery
(http://www.entnet.org/content/vocal-warmup-put-your-best-voiceforward)
o New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE)
o Improving Vocal Technique Through Warm Ups Dr. Frank F Eychaner
(http://flmusiced.org/flmusicapps/Sessions/Handouts/2016/4059_16011
1_40_Warmups_Handout.pdf)
o Words Used to Describe Voice
(http://www.macmillandictionary.com/us/thesauruscategory/american/words-used-to-describe-someone-s-voice)
Listening to Thomas Hampson
o Hamlet: La Fatigue Alourdit Mes Pas Comme une Pale Fleur
I really enjoyed the intensity between him and the orchestra in
the beginning. You can really feel the story hes trying to portray.
o Der Garten des Herzens
I really enjoyed the playfulness of the piano and how he almost
mocks the bounciness of it in one phrase. Definitely something
Im going to look further into in the future.
o At Dawning (I Love You) Op. 29 No. 1
The violin in this piece really compliments everything in it. His
falsetto is wonderful especially in this piece.
