MPD officers were working the evening tour of duty in full uniform utilizing marked scout cars. A priority assignment was dispatc! Comet restaurant located at 5037 ed for a man with a gun lecated inside the mnecticut Ave. N.W. MPD Officer Zuniga was one of che first to arrive on the scene. Officer Zuniga was met by CW-1. CW-1 advised him while he was working at the Comet restaurant he exited to the rear of the location to retrieve some pizza d rom the freezer which was in the alley. While still outside cwW-1 bangs coming from inside the Location. CW-1 re-entered the rest ed a white male holding an AR-15 type rifle. Officer Alberti, Officer Wishnick and Officer Provance maintained the right side périmeter of the location on Nebraska Ave. N.W. Officer Creech and Officer Murray maintained the rear of the location. Lt. Merrill (Cruiser 200) was notified and responded to the scene. A barricade was declared at 1514 hours. Notification was made to —.0.D. ERT and Falcon at approximately 1527 hours.
