Background
Sometimes it is necessary to regularly create a report
giving average values of the petrophysical properties either
per segment or per facies for peer reviews. This has
always been a manual task in the past using the property
filter and the statistics tab.
With the addition of the output sheet functionality to the
Petrel process manager in the this is now possible to
automate, saving time and also reducing errors.
This is a simple example, with averages required per
segment for only 2 properties, but could be easily adapted
for more complex requirements.

Result
The workflow calculates the principal statistics for any
specified property. Results are presented in an output
sheet giving the basic statistics per segment.

Prerequisites
Before the script can be applied the following steps must be performed:
1. Open Geometrical Modeling,
found under Property Modeling
in the process diagram window,
and define properties as shown
here.

2. Make sure that the properties for which you want to calculate statistics are defined, e.g. porosity
and permeability
3. Follow the instructions in the workflow script
4. Run the workflow script from the process manager
