Climate change
Air pollution harms the ozone layer of the earth and affects the temperature causing
natural disasters to be even stronger. Many environmentalist are worried about warmer weather
each year and glaciers melting, and the theory of man made climate change. Global warming is
on the rise in average global surface temperature caused by the build up of human produced
greenhouse gases which is mostly carbon dioxide and methane. There are many problems that
come with air pollution and temperatures rising.
The world is warming up because carbon dioxide from smoke and car exhausts collects in
the atmosphere and traps the heat going to space, like a greenhouse. One of the biggest and
dangerous effects of pollution on the ozone layer is that it creates holes in the atmosphere and
that allows powerful ultraviolet rays from the sun and it reaches the earth's surface. The function
of the ozone layer is to shield the Earth from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun and to keep
the Earth warm. The ozone layer is made of a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms bonded
together. Without the protective layer of cloud cover, organisms are vulnerable to the suns rays,
which can cause skin cancer and even more threats to the environment. And as air pollution
continues the ozone layer gets holes and more heat can get through.(Renneboog floods caused)

Temperatures have risen during the last 30 years and 2001 to 2010 were the warmest
years ever recorded. As the earth gets warmer heat waves are starting to become more common
in places like the United States. A heat wave happens when a certain region experience very high
temperatures for several days and nights. Warmer temperatures can also lead to a chain reaction
of other changes around the world. For example, this happens because when the temperature
increases it also affects the oceans, weather patterns, snow and ice, and plants and animals. As
the temperature gets higher the seas also get warmer and ice glaciers melt which also cause sea
levels to rise and closer to shore. (Renneboog floods caused)
Climate change may be responsible for the recent high amount of natural disasters,
but it is possible that it may have a cause in the future. About 80% of the 3,496 disasters of the
("Floods Caused By Global Warming, Says Minister.") last decade were due to flooding and
storms. Climate change could easily affect storm formation by decreasing the temperature
difference between the poles of the equator. Warmer temperature could increase the amount of
water vapor that enters the atmosphere and the effect of this would be a hotter and more humid
environment also water vapor can be a fuel to storms . A warmer and wetter atmosphere also
could affect tropical storms and hurricanes.
Many environmentalist are worried about warmer weather each year and glaciers
melting, and the theory of man made climate change. There a lot that try and help out with
supporting it and helping out their community, for example they support government change. It's
a serious but still people don't pay much attention to it despite all the hurricanes, floods, and
(Renneboog, Richard. "Climate Change Policy And Economics." ) tornados happening. There
will continue to be no change until these series of events get worse and they give it attention.
