VA:Cr3.1.1:
Used art vocabulary to explain their art work.

what analogous colors by viewing color wheel are and what happens when you
mix two colors such as red and yellow together. The students will also be
creating a fall time tree using new tools such as their hands and leaves
Objective#1: students will understand what analogous colors are, and how to mix
two colors to create a new one.
Objective#2: Students will be applying Texture to their hand tree by designing a
symbol or design to it.
Objective#3: Students will be creating a tree with texture with various shades of
color created from the primary colors red and

ARTE 342
Introduction:
The teacher will ask the students to sit at the
carpet and face the whiteboard. As the students
face the whiteboard the teacher will show the
students images of analogous colors then explain
to the students that those colors are analogous
colors and what that means. The teacher will also
hand out to the students a color wheel to show the
neighboring analogous colors. For example, blue,
dark blue, and purple are analogous because their
close in color on the wheel.

Students will be sitting at their seats with

their handout while coloring out the
analogous colors at the bottom of their
page.

The teacher will also introduce to the students

what is texture. The teacher will ask the students
what type of texture a tree might have. The teacher The students will be looking at visual aids
of textures that a tree can have.
will show a visual aid of tree texture for students
Understanding that all trees are different.
to visually point the various types of texture a tree
can have. The teacher will explain to the students
that will be creating their own texture to their fall
tree.

Development:
The children will be told to trace out their hands
with their fingers spread out then to trace it out
with a brown crayon and create their own texture
to it. The students will look at some visual aids that
the teacher drawn on the board of texture. The
students will also be receiving red and yellow paint
on a paper plate along with leaves to stamp their
leaves in paint. The students would be shown how
to mix red and yellow together to create orange
giving them a third color to use on their tree. The
students will be told to stamp their tree with their
leaf and once done to leave their wet leaf on the
paper to also become their piece

The student will take their white piece of

paper and try to trace their hands to create
a tree with branches. Then once they draw
their trees they will color the inside of their
tree. Once they are done they will be
mixing red and yellow to create their third
color orange so that they can also apply it
to their piece. The students will also be
stamping their leaves into the paint then
onto their papers once done stamping
they will leave damp leave on paper to dry
along with the piece.

Conclusion: The students will be told to put

The students will wait their turns to put

called out in groups to prevent further mess. While
