Isokinetic sampling flow rate may be calculated as

Qs = Qs x (25 + 273)
Ts
Where,
Qs = V x An x 60 x 1000
The nozzles (1/4, 3/8 and 1/8) are to be selected in such a way so that Qs falls
within the range of 30-LPM rotameter. If two or more nozzles are giving that much
of flow then one (flow) falling in the centre of the range should be selected.

Sample is taken by adjusting a flow rate of Qs Qg (Qg flow rate, which is to be

set on the gaseous rotameter) on 30-LPM rotameter for - minutes.
Weight of the thimble after the sampling W2 gm
Weight of dust collected W2 W1 gm
Volume of flue gas = Qm x t
