ASHANINKA CULTURE IN

PERU
"Proud of being
ashaninka"
The Ashaninkas are the largest
indigenous Amazonian people in
Peru.
The Ashaninkas were formerly
called "campas", but to them it
is an insult to say so.
Their language belongs to the
Arawak linguistic family. More
than 25,000 Ashaninkas are
spoken in Peru.
