Task B You need to produce a briefing sheet (Word document)
for new staff explaining their tasks and responsibilities when undertaking airport duties including: Meeting and greeting customers Transfers to and from the airport Responses to potential problems Pass/refer criteria only Deadline - Please have ready to hand in with name/ID/Teacher name on it for Group A & C Monday 31st October 17pm Group B Tuesday 1st November 17pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Task C this leads on nicely from Task B. You now need to participate in an individual role play undertaking the duties of an airport transfer representative escorting customers from the airport to their holiday accommodation giving a suitable commentary using a microphone. You need to write out a note form/script to help prompt you on the day and be ready to hand in at the start of the lesson also deadline TBC. To ensure fairness to all, everyone must hand in a script that day otherwise you will be considered late and capped at a PASS. By completing Task B, you should be able to write up Task C at around the same time. Scenario You will be given 3 x different scenarios; you need to choose carefully as this will be the same scenario that you will then use for Task D & E (group work therefore have a discussion with who you want to work with).
You need to allow for approx. 5- minutes per role play.
To gain a pass you need to:
Undertaken airport transfer using a microphone to present a commentary using a clear voice Included appropriate content applicable to the airport transfer undertaken. To gain a merit you need to have achieved everything at pass grade and have: Used appropriate pace, language and tone to suit audience/customer group Confidently used a microphone to deliver a transfer commentary To gain a distinction you need to have achieved everything at pass and merit and have: Included information to ensure an efficient check-in (accommodation or airport) Contained suitable content presented in a logical order.
