What is MASA MASID?


MASA MASID is a barangay-based anti-criminality, anti-corruption, and anti-

illegal drugs program which encourages multi-sectoral partnership to intensify


the spirit of volunteerism at the community level.

HOW TO JOIN



Visit your local DILG office, local church/mosque


or city/municipal volunteer desk
Fill-out a registration form
Attend the orientation
Participate in the activities

WHO CAN JOIN



People who have the heart to help.


People who are not presently involved in illegal drugs and
other criminal activities

PURPOSE
To heighten community involvement by mobilizing the support of local
stakeholders, volunteers, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, and
the private sectors in the fight against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption.

IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES

Advocacy may start from the


MMT telling other people in
the community about the
MASA MASID Program and its
objectives.

SEMINARS

The MMT may also organize


seminars and other fora to
advocate anti-illegal drugs in the
community.

FAITH-BASED
GROUPS

HOTLINE

The MMT may set-up a hotline


that the members of the
community may call to report
any drug-related incident.

INTERVIEWS

By interviewing their neighbors,


the MMT may gather information
on any untoward incident in the
community.

DATABASE

The members of the faith-based


organizations may utilize their
groups as venue for advocacy
and education campaigns.

As a volunteer member of the MASA MASID Team, you may engage in the following activities:

CRN

The MMT shall organize a network


of volunteers to facilitate the
program. This network is called
the Community Rehabilitation
Network (CRN).

COUNSELING

One of the key elements of the


CBRP is counseling to ensure
the psychological and spiritual
healing of the patients.

COMMUNITY
SERVICE

The patients need to regain


their sense of purpose. This may
be done through community
service.
