CLASSROOM POLICIES
Be strictly guided by the term schedule since some homework will be unannounced.
Always come prepared for class. You are expected to have read the assigned
material upon entering the classroom, and your participation in class discussion will
merit points for recitation. Prepare your homework and submit them neatly. Dirty,
folded and late submission will not be accepted.
Bring writing materials such as black/blue and red ballpens, pencils, white business
paper and staplers. Avoid asking your classmates for them.
During reporting and group presentations, students are expected to wear decent
attire (no walking shorts for all).
Join the group e-mail: _________________________________ . Questions and comments
regarding the course, lesson and activities will be entertained online. Class essays,
model essays, and other important documents will be uploaded from time to time.
ATTENDANCE will be checked, either through roll call or through class participation.
Students with an accumulation of more than 5 absences will receive an automatic
failure in the course. Two Tardies = One Absence. It is strongly advised that you take
note of your attendance or consult with the instructor from time to time. A bonus of
0.5 will be added to the final grade for students with no absences and with a
maximum of one tardy only. Students who arrive after the first 15 minutes for at
least five times will be sent to the Discipline Office.
REQUIREMENTS IN ALL WRITING ACTIVITIES
All writing output (specifically the major essays) must go through the steps of the
process approach. Remember that there is no shortcut to getting a grade in all
written requirement.
For drafting on white business paper (short-sized/letter, do not use A4 size),
skip one line and leave 0.5 margins on the sides.
You are required to research for additional sources. Cite them using the APA
format. Knowing how to avoid involuntary plagiarism is prescribed as the
students responsibility in the DLSU Undergraduate Student Handbook.
Follow this labeling format for all typewritten output:
