FINAL EXAMINATION of FLORO C. BANGUG

1. Environmental crisis is very evident in the Philippines and in other parts of the world. What
do you think you could do something about it?
One way to begin making a difference is to learn how the way we live impacts our global
environment. Practical steps anyone can take to reduce the stress our high-tech lives exert on
the natural world. As we incorporate these ideas into our lives, we may find that not only are
we contributing to a solution, we are also making our lives better. Using less electricity and
fuel, for example, saves money. More walking and biking improve our health; eating locally
grown produce brings enhanced taste and nutrition; breathing cleaner air is energizing and
healing; and creating a world of restored natural balance ensures a future for our children
and grandchildren.
2. Do you believe that technology will find solutions to whatever problems we create?
Our unique environment to sustain life forms. Human evolution and the development of
technology has empowered every aspect of our lives. Our responsibility now is to use this
technology to help the environment more green and more civilized. As a result of the
indiscriminate use of natural resources and the development of artificial substances such as
plastic, they were filled land and air pollutants. That the planet is facing climate change is a
serious challenge to its ability to sustain life. Technological innovation has enhanced
communication and connect with even the most remote places of the world need to be
exploited as a panacea. The solution is to change the behavior of people to improve their
quality of life. Modern technology has proven its unique features:
Faster access to information
Access information with just a click of the mouse
Product processing without human intervention
Globalization resources
3. As a Filipino citizen, what can you do of the natural resources that are severely depleted
and cities that are horribly polluted, uncomfortably crowded and plagued by crime?

It would be great if we respect our planet by helping and finding solution to prevent the
destruction of our natural resources. Planting trees, lessen carbon emissions, using solar energy
and cleaning our rivers are some things that we could do to maintain the beauty of our planet.
4. Choose one contemporary social issues in the Philippines and integrate the different
perspectives in the analysis of specific issues and problems in the society?
Corruption in the government. The people are charged with taxes but we end up having
inefficient implementation of road and traffic rules, lack of a flood control system, and
"road constructions" (They destroy some roads then immediately "fix" it, as a tactic for
kickback). Even if, let's say, we have a good president, it would still be difficult for him to
implement good governance practices nationwide because the rest of the politicians would
not support something that has nothing in it for them. This problem is passed from
generation to generation, more so considering the fact that the strongest politicians form
dynasties. The problems in the government, collectively, is the primary reason for the rest of
the problems.
5. Considering the situation of our country today, what qualities of leaders are needed for
social movements to succeed and for social change to take place?
The presidency has never been an easy job: the peoples expectations are high, the pressures
and demands of the position are enormous and the nations problems are countless. Great
presidents should be open minded. They are attentive to their emotions. They are willing to
question traditional values and try new ways of doing things. But, when it comes to faith and
morals, they are traditional in morals and tend to rely on leadership from church and religious
figures on these matters.
6. Describe the effects of natural disasters to the general social and economic conditions of
affected areas in the Philippines.
A trans-disciplinary approach to the underlying concept of natural disasters suggests that
they are characterized by naturally occurring events whose consequences are often aggravated by
man-made actions which surpass the capacity of man's built infrastructure to contain. They result
in tragic disturbances in the social and environmental sphere together with socioeconomic
impacts of extreme severity, such as high levels of material damage, the loss of life and means of
subsistence for affected communities, and the spread of infectious diseases due to the degradation
of sanitary conditions.
7. Analyze the situation in your school organization. Look at instances when members do not
cooperate well in the attainment of the schools objectives. State reasons/factors for noncooperation of members.
Some members do not cooperate well in the school organization because of the poor
governance of the school administration itself. Some school do not have the proper
knowledge on how to handle the institution and how to take care of their members. (Example:
low compensation for the faculty members).
8. Discuss how art parenting may be undertaken more effectively in order to produce the kind
of children expected in our society.
When seen only as presiding over a child's growth, parenting can be frustrating and
burdensome. However, when seen as an opportunity for personal growth for adults, parenting is

one of the most creative and affirming experiences that life offers. It can be a mutual growth
process for both parents and children. parents' lives are fulfilled through the realization of
integrity in their children.1 This means that the full meaning of parenthood comes in later life. Yet
while we are raising our children, parenting gives us chances to improve ourselves and broaden
our own personal horizons as we model for our children the qualities we would like to see in
them. For some of us, our own children give us a chance to become the parents we wish that we
had. When seen as a mutual growth process for parent and child, optimal parenting consists not of
techniques but of the willingness to assist, and the ability to enjoy, the maturation of a child.
Family life then becomes an exchange of ideas, emotions, and power as children and parents
learn how to respect and influence each other. In practical terms, parental authority is exercised
through the creative use of power, the practice of morality, the setting of family priorities,
affirmation of their children, and a family's participation in its community and society.
9. Assess what would constitute success in terms of how educators want to be remembered by
students or colleagues in their educational career.
In every good school, there are teachers whose vision extends beyond their own classrooms
even beyond their own teams or departments. Such teachers recognize that students' school
experiences depend not only on interaction with individual teachers, but also on the complex
systems in place throughout the school and district. This awareness prompts these teachers to
want to influence change. They experience professional restlessnesswhat some have called the
leadership itch. Sometimes on their own initiative and sometimes within a more formal
structure, these professionals find a variety of ways to exercise teacher leadership
10. In your observation, how does the following observation manifest itself in the operation of
the school system: The school is seemingly becoming the world of the ideal, while the family,
the world of the real.
It can be said that the school system plays a very important role in the development of any nation.
The school prepares the citizen of a country for their adult roles.
It is in the sense that the school system must be made to respond the needs, problems and
aspirations of the people. Its goals and purposes must jibe with the development goals of society.
Any incongruence in the goals and the programs of the two may mean a mismatch in what the
schools are producing and what the industries in the country are demanding.
