Step5:CalculatetheInitialSourceEMF
Assumingthatthesystemisinitiallyinasteadystatecondition,weneedtofirstcalculatetheinitialemf
producedbythepowersource(i.e.feederconnectionpointorgeneratorterminals).Thisvoltagewillbe

Thesourcepointofcommoncoupling(PCC)isatitsnominalvoltage
Themotorisswitchedoff
AllstandingloadsareoperatingatthecapacitycalculatedinStep2
AlltransformertapsaresetatthosespecifiedinStep2
Thesystemisatasteadystate,i.e.thereisnoswitchingtakingplacethroughoutthesystem

Step6:CalculateSystemVoltagesDuringMotorStart
Itisassumedinthiscalculationthatduringmotorstarting,theinitialsourceemfcalculatedinStep5

ThedownstreamvoltagescannowbecalculatedbyvoltagedivisionandsimpleapplicationofOhm'slaw.
Specifically,we'dliketoknowthevoltageatthemotorterminalsandanybusesofinterestthatcouldbe
