Course Objectives:

1. To help the student to understand the overview of the industry in relation to social, political and
economic aspects operating in an industrial set up.
2. To enable the student to understand the industrial relations, inequalities laws and resolving
techniques of disputes pertaining to the industrial structure

Course Outcome:

At the end of the course students will be able to:


1. Identify principles of Industrial Sociology and processes.
2.

Have an introductory knowledge of the methods and framework of Industrial organizations

3. Apply the theoretical knowledge to understand social problems related to the industry
4. Identify and prepare for difficulties in implementing change in the industry/plant/factory or
organizations
5. Understand the contemporary complex patterns of social behaviour and awareness of inequality
in an industrial society
