There is a $40 adoption fee for dogs, $20 for cats, as well as a refund-
able spay/neuter deposit ($50 for dogs, $25 for cats) unless the ani-
mal is “fixed” already. New animals are brought into the shelter on
a daily basis, so if the one you want is gone by the time you call,
the Montcalm County Animal Shelter will do its best to find you
a dog or cat that matches what you’re looking for. The Montcalm
County Animal Shelter is open to the public Mon-Fri 12:30pm to
