For the first time in more than ten years, the artwork of world-renowned sculptor Dale Chihuly will be featured in The New York
Botanical Gardens. Its an exceptional place to showcase this popular artists unique hand-blown glass sculptures that feature
brilliant colors and organic shapes. Many of his works of art were created specifically for the NYBG and will be exhibited within
and around the gardens most frequented places, in a way that compliments the colorful surrounding landscape. Chihulys
works of art will be also displayed in the elegant, Victorian-style Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. This exhibition also features a
portion of Chihuly's drawings in the Art Gallery. Our visit to the garden includes a hot buffet lunch in the magnificently restored
1840 Stone Mill, a National Historic Landmark. Its the oldest factory building in New York City and the oldest tobacco plant in
the country. Following lunch, we are treated to a lecture on the Chihuly Exhibition that will add valuable insight to our visit. Our
admission allows us unlimited access on a narrated tram ride around the gardens 250 acres. It makes numerous stops
throughout the gardens, so we may explore the gardens with much less walking. The exceptional rose garden, that displays
more than 4,000 rose plants, should be in full bloom at around the time of our visit. .

The Pacific Northwest is renowned for its unique natural beauty that featuring snow-capped mountains, picturesque harbors,
abundant wildlife and many charming waterfront communities. Although this tour includes an incredible diversity of attractions,
we travel no more than 120 miles from Seattle. Therefore, there is nearly always something exciting to view with very little travel
time between attractions. Our itinerary includes many places from the lists of top attractions to visit while in the Seattle area.
The San Juan Islands are renowned for their beauty and charm. We spend several days exploring them. Mount Rainer National
Park is a photographers dream and a place that everyone will want to return to again. Both of our hotels are in ideal locations.
In Seattle, we are near to most of the citys popular attractions. The Semiahmoo Resort is a delightful place that we will
remember for years to come. The Boeing factory tour is the only public tour of a commercial jet assembly plant in North
America. Other highlights include: nonstop, roundtrip airfare from Newark to Seattle, five nights in The Hilton Seattle Downtown,
three nights in the Semiahmoo Resort in Blain, Washington, riding tour of Seattle, Seattle Space Needle, Chihuly Garden & Glass
Museum, Pike Place Market, Snoqualmie Falls, lunch in The Paradise Inn, cruise on Puget Sound, San Juan Island Cruise & Whale

Born from a fiery and independent spirit, Texas is certainly an exciting place to visit. During our ten day tour we see many attractions
that reflect the unique character that is Texas. Once again, we pull out all the stops to make this an exceptional tour as we combine
it with five cities, all of which are destinations in themselves. To start with, its a beautiful time of year to visit Texas, with the average
daytime temperature around a pleasant 75 degrees. Highlights are many, here are just a few. Our first three nights will be spent in the
opulent four-diamond Hyatt Regency Dallas, attached to the Reunion Tower. We will tour the museum that tells the story about the
JFK assassination, tour a horse farm, view a cattle drive and much more. The next three nights we overnight in the historic Menger
Hotel, just steps from the Alamo and in a perfect place to explore this vibrant city. The charming Riverwalk boasts a magnificent
series of canals that wind through the city, lined by numerous restaurants, shops, walkways and attractions. Once you visit, its easy
to see why San Antonio is known as the Venice of North America. Our three nights in Galveston are spent in a four-diamond resort,
just steps away from the beach. This unique city is steeped in history and has many area places that, once visited, we will remember
for many years to come. Other highlights include riding tours of Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Galveston, The Sixth
Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, Texas State Capital, Pioneer Plaza, University of Texas at Austin, boat ride along the Riverwalk in San
Antonio, Market Square in San Antonio, Buckhorn Museum, San Jose Mission, Spanish Governors Mansion, Moody Gardens

If you have fond memories of this soft, buttery, yeast-based dough
braid filled with fruit or cheese, this is the class for you. It was cut
and sold by the pound in old fashion bakeries. Some people
incorrectly call this a strudel, but it is a very dramatic dessert or
brunch item that is actually very easy to make. Kim will walk you
through the basics of making this delightful dough. While it chills
she will bake and serve the demo braid. There will be time for
each person to make a small braid the very first night to take
home. Night two will be your opportunity to fill and bake another
braid with your favorite filling, sweet or savory to take home to eat
or freeze. No baking experience required. Please bring an apron,

This course is designed to acquaint individuals with the value
of a professionally drawn will, the necessity of a financial
power of attorney and the key provisions of a living
will/medical power of attorney. Seniors are also often totally
unaware of taxes that may be due to the state of NJ or the
federal government on their death. They are unaware that NJ
has the highest death taxes in any state in the country. Most
elders believe that estate taxes are being phased out and are
of no concern. Few know about the new estate tax New
Jersey Adopted in July of 2002. This tax is imposed on estates
larger than $675,000. New Jersey also has an inheritance tax
that can be as high as 16%. This tax is imposed on the
estates of people who have no spouse or children and leave
the money to other family members or friends. Methods to
reduce these taxes as well as the pros and cons of gifts and
gift taxes will also be discussed.

This beginner's workshop will explore the seemingly endless
possibilities of creating silver jewelry with Precious Metal Clay.
It will introduce you to the different types of PMC (lump, sheet
and paste) in an easy step-by-step format. Topics covered will
include: working with the clay, creating forms, carving, molding,
texturing, firing, oxidizing, and polishing. Participants will
explore these techniques with an eye toward finding their own
voice and style through a choice of projects - pendants, hollow
forms, decorative beads, constructed forms and earrings. PMC
is a unique jewelry making material. This user-friendly product
is a malleable substance that is composed of fine silver
particles in an organic binder. It can be sculpted and
manipulated like potter's clay. After firing in a kiln, all that is left
is your unique design in pure (.999) silver. Materials fee* is
payable directly to instructor at class.
*Depends on price of silver Please note: Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is
based on the market price of silver which fluctuates daily. Due to the
continuing rise in the price of the silver, the price listed here may not
accurately reflect the current price of the material. Prices may end up
being higher or lower. At the time of this printing, the cost of PMC
materials for this class is approximately $92-$100.

Each project will be made more complex by combining many
of the techniques learned in prior workshops with an aim to
help bring your work to the next level. *Please note: Precious

Intro to Ayurveda
Maryann Gebhardt
Ayurveda translated ~ Ayur means life,
and veda means wisdom, which gives us
"knowledge of life". Health is more than
the absence of disease. Good health is
the result of harmonious inner balance.
A dedicated practice of dinacharya (daily
routine) will nourish our bodies and
souls, as we cultivate self-care. From an
Ayurvedic perspective, following a daily
self-care ritual also aligns us with rhythms
of nature, seasonal routines will be also
discussed. The workshop will end with a
short mediation. The workshop is based
on the National Bestseller Perfect Health
the Complete Mind Body Guide by
Deepak Chopra, MD. We will discuss how
to apply the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda
