San Pedro Church

San Pedro Cathedral is not only the oldest church in Davao City, but also the city's premier
historical landmark. It was named after San Pedro (Saint Peter), the patron saint of Davao. The
original structure was built in 1847 during the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors, led by Don
Jose Uyanguren. The Cathedral is situated at the very heart of the city right across the
Sanguniang Panglunsod ng Dabaw (City Council) Building, and is close to several commercial
establishments, hotels, shopping centers, universities, parks, a public market, etc. Facing the
church, it is bounded at the front by San Pedro Street, the oldest street in the city, Bolton Street
on the left, and Claveria Street on the right.
The San Pedro Cathedral is now recognized as a National Cultural Treasure.

Osmea Park

Osmea Park is a small park located adjacent to the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building bounded
by Magallanes, CM Recto and San Pedro Streets.
The area was once the site of the original Christian settlement founded after Don Jose
Uyanguren's conquest of Davao in 1848. The park is wedged between the oldest streets of the
city, Claveria (now C.M. Recto) and San Pedro

Philippine Eagle Center

The Philippine Eagle Center (PEC) is an 8.4-hectare area located at the foothills of Mt. Apo in
Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City and situated within the Malagos Watershed. The
Philippine Eagle Center primarily operates as a conservation breeding facility for the critically
endangered Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi) and other birds of prey.
There are currently 7 Philippine Eagles in exhibit for education while the rest are isolated for
conservation breeding and research purposes.
Although this facility is dedicated to breeding and education, the Philippine Eagle Center has
grown to be an important tourist destination in Davao City as well.
The Center does not only have Philippine Eagles to show but there are a number of other
birds, mammals and reptiles as well, most of which are endemic to the country and some are
considered rare.

Eden Nature Park

Eden Nature Park is a mountain resort and paradise located in Davao City. This place for rest and
relaxation is 95% human-made, located 3000 ft above sea level of Davao City. To get there, it
only takes one-and-a-half ride by plane down south from Manila, and a travel time of
approximately one hour from the airport.
This place of recreation is rich in exotic flowers, lush green forests, and the songs of birds.

Eden Nature Park was then a logged-over area covered by wild grass when it was discovered in
1971. The owner of the area realized that the place could be one major tourist attraction for it has
an imposing view of Davao City and Davao Gulf.
Thousands of pine tree seedlings were planted not long after terraces were carved out of the
mountain slope. At present, 100 000 pine trees covering 80 hectares contibute to the beauty of
the place.

Peoples Park

People's Park is an urban public park in central Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines. The park is
covered with lush vegetation, with more than 1,000 species of plants from all over the world,
including Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America.
The park is known for Mindanao artist Kublai Millan's sculptures of indigenous people, and its
dancing fountain is a popular destination for locals at night. The park's visitor center is inspired
by durians and has a large collection of many species of bamboos. It has been described as "one
of the cleanest and greenest public parks" in the Philippines.
The park covers an area of 4 hectares (9.9 acres). It was formerly the dilapidated old PTA
ground. It was converted to a park and inaugurated on December 15, 2007. Its name was chosen
from a "Name the Park" contest organized by the city government.

Rizal Park

Rizal Park is one of the landmark of Davao City. This is the place where the major show down
on the events of Kadayawan Festival and Araw ng Dabaw is held and watched. Other iconic
building near Rizal Park are Sangguning Panglunsod Building, San Pedro Cathedral
Commemorative Monument of Peace and Unity, City Hall of Davao and Quezon Park.
The Rizal Shrine at Rizal Park was renovated by Malayan Insurance Corporation, Inc. and YGC.
This was officially turned over on March 12, 2009 to the Honorable Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte
by MICO President Yvonne S. Yuchengco.
