The Dust Bowl

Just as new programs were helping farmers, a
severe drought hit the Great Plains
Soil turned to dust and high winds scattered it
Black Sunday: worst dust storm in history

Migrant Workers
Farmers had to leave their homes in order to
find work. They became migrant workers,
moving from place to place to harvest crops.
