Reading : Read the mission info for about 30 minutes /
get signature (Replaces your regular reading.)
Language: Before you went home, you wrote your topic
sentence and 3 yellow subtopics. Now its time to
research for information and take notes using Power
Up. This worksheet is due tomorrow. MAKE
SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION
FOR YOUR REDS! It must be SPECIFIC.
Remember, I am freeing you from other homework
so that you can do research.
Do you remember how we talked last week about
how it is important to UNDERSTAND what you are
reading? If you are confused about the events, you
wont be able to write about them clearly. So make
sure you understand what you are writing.

Research Paper

The good news is that this is THE LAST

PARAGRAPH for our research paper!
The bad news is that this is the paragraph where
you will need to WRITE INDEPENDENTLY.
This week your assignment is to write a rough
draft paragraph about Indians at the Mission.
FYI:
We will still research on Monday night.
Research material will still be provided.
We will still write our notes on Monday and
turn it in on Tuesday morning.
We will still have a big chunk of time to
write the paragraph in the classroom. In
fact. well have extra time because I dont
want this to impact homework time.
Once guidance is provided on Monday,
everything else will be done on your own. It
will be okay to collaborate with partners.
Remember to write in PAST TENSE.
Remember, this is not currently happening.
On Friday you will need to turn in your
rough draft, Paragraph Planner, and Power
Up 123.

check it out. Also, study time

bring your study materials to school each day.
Make sure you get a signature every night
to verify you studied. (Lack of signature will
count as homework not turned in.) Each day
you will also need to bring your evidence that
you studied. We will be writing the days
evidence in our agendas daily.
