Introducing the task:
Jump rope dancing
make groups of four,
and remind them the
music which is going
to be used. Make sure
everyone remembers
the music from
Japanese class.
This song has been
previously learnt in

7mins

Japanese class.
Introduce some
criteria:
1. Everyone should do
skipping most of the
time while music is
playing (about 30
seconds). You could
swing your rope as a
part of dance (not the
entire time), but make
sure you have enough
space.
put your hands out
2. When they hear
"Sa" sound in the
music, they should do
skipping with special
skills such as skipping
with one leg, skipping
with their legs open, or
changing their position
etc. Every group
member should do
exactly the same
movement.
Instruction
Safety awareness and
teamwork
13 mins
Ask students what
they should be aware
of. (Space, voice, do
not swing their jump
rope randomly)
how could they make
sure they have enough

work together and

think
how they keep
skipping for 30 secs
and what movement

space?
remind them what
could happen if they
swing their jump
ropes.

would be included for

"SA sound"

Team work is
important.
Why? What would you
do if your group
members are not
confident?
Responsibility and
resilience
The music is being
played while students
are practicing.
Make sure every group
finds positions where
they can work safely.
Make sure everyone is
