The company has been awarded with a gold

The certificate effectively gives Motibhai

Motibhai Group chairman and CEO Kirit Patel

It is encouraging to note that our group is part

Staff learn inventory

management skills
The management and staff of Motibhai Group are
continually upgrading their skills in various fields
of their day-to-day work.
In a recent two-day training based on inventory
management, twenty-five staff members got to
sharpen their skills on the respective training for
the first time.
Conducted by Ranju Kumar of Smart Train, the twoday training was focussed on IM techniques and
IM strategies that could be considered and applied in everyday work.
The key learning outcomes of this training was to
get the participants to understand good inventory
management practices and procedures and also to
get warehouse efficiencies, Ms Kumar told INBOX.
She said discussions were also based on slow moving inventory, its causes, its impacts and strategies to avoid the situation and best practices with
examples were highlighted.
There will be post training assessment after twomonths to ascertain that the participants are actually using the knowledge to see if improvements
have been made, Ms Kumar added.
She said participants who pass will get a certificate
of recognition with stage 2 of IM training also
planned for later this year.

ABOUT CROSS
For more than 170-years,
Cross has re-invented writing
instruments, combining design
ingenuity with jewellery-quality
craftsmanship.
The A. T. Cross Company is
a major international manufacturer of fine writing instruments,
timepieces, and personal accessories. Cross products are sold to
the consumer gift market through
fine stores worldwide.
While our history is a story all
its own, it all began with Richard
Cross, who founded the company
the same year both the Smithsonian and the sewing machine were
born, just as Samuel Morses
magnetic telegraph pushed Westward.
Cross was a highly skilled pen
and pencil maker, who passed his
knowledge on to his son, Alonzo
Townsend Cross. In 1916, the
Cross family sold the company
to an employee, Walter R. Boss,
who led our growth into the com-

grandsons were at the helm of the
company, which became a public
security traded on the American
Stock Exchange in 1971.
What were most proud of,
though, isnt all thats changed in
the 170-years weve been around.
Its what hasnt changed. Head-

quartered in beautiful Lincoln,

Rhode Island, just outside Providence, A. T. Cross is proud to still
be a part of the community we
helped build. And we still make
products unsurpassed in quality
and value, one at a time and by
hand, just as Richard Cross did.
