What is cad?

The evolution occur during the last 3

decades in the use of computers for
different design have changed at more
rapid pace than all the progress in
drawings that developed the advent of
computer technology. CAD actually
represented by the word computer
aided design which is used to create
complex engineering design. This gave
engineers a better tool to design and
manufacture precise innovative design.

The early 3d CAD systems were not too

fast and expensive too because it is
made by special kind of materials and
not easy to use because they instantly
requires the memorization of the
commands.

Development in CAD technology enables

the following benefits like parametric
design, bidirectional associativity,
assesses fit and tolerance problem, and
eliminates many lengthy error checking
and many more.

What is CAM?
Computer aided manufacturing (CAM) is the
technology to leverage product design
information to (CAD data) to drive
manufacturing functions. The development of
CAM technology to automate and manage
machining, tooling, and mold creation with
greater speed and accuracy is intimately
linked to development of CAD technology.

manufacturing. 2) Choose the best one.

CREATE- PLAN-
1) Follow the plan. 1) Draw a diagram.
2) Test it out. 2) Gather needed material.

Step 1-

Ask about the problems that customers

are facing like, the weight of rims of
wheel, cost , life of chrome, colour and
most important desgine.

Step 2-

Choose the right material with less cost

and which is long lasting. Most common
material used to make alloy wheels are
aluminium because it has less weight
and it is cheaper too.
Step 3-

Draw the desgine on the wheel as per

the customers demand like how many
spokes they want and size of the wheel .
Make a prototype of that wheel to get a
3d view.

Step 4-

Test that prototype to ensure that it can

survive in extreme condition.

Step 5-

Now the design is ready to manufacture.
