Wesleyan is a private school that caters to women and their education. I have
been accepted into the institution and will start in the Fall Semester of 2010. The
finances for the institution are scarce. The reliable contributions are from my job at
the Salvation Army, where I work once a week to assist my mother with providing
basic needs for our home. I will have $500 set aside for my education in the Fall
Semester. The federal government will cover a maximum of $5500 per year for my
college education. I have also been awarded $1750 per semester for the Hope
Scholarship in honor of my academic achievements. I also was rewarded a
Leadership Scholarship for $3000 per year from Wesleyan College for exemplifying
extraordinary service at Atlanta Metropolitan College and in the communities. In
addition to that I received a $3000 Merit Scholarship for my 3.02 grade point
average from the women’s institution.
In closing, I would like to attend one of the best institutes in Georgia to complete my
undergraduate Degree in Political Science. The curriculum offers a number of
unique courses that I think will benefit my cultural experience and career goals.
Education is a very important portrait of my life success. I am determined to earn a
quality education with the help of some financial assistance.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Worthen, AS
