Sound Diplomacy is the leading global advisor on music cities, night time economy and market
development. We work in over 20 countries across cities, governments, property developers,
labels, festivals and large organisations.
One of the ways we do this is by producing the worlds most interesting, cutting-edge events
and heavily marketing our activities internationally. To continue to do so, grow our brand
and expand our event portfolio, were looking a events manager to lead the work across our
events and marketing initiatives, moving forward.
You will be responsible for stewarding our Music Cities Events brands, consisting of Music
Cities Convention, Sound Development and Music Tourism Convention, as well as the events
we work on across Europe, like BIME. By stewardship we mean redefining the vision, creating
new partnerships, managing our client and supplier relationships and being the backstop to
deliver the worlds most exciting events about culture and urbanism.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious marketer with strong events experience to
manage a thriving, exciting and unique portfolio of arts policy conference events, along with
working with a growing, bustling startup.
Responsibility for the creative and fiduciary direction of our events and marketing
portfolio.
This includes summits, conferences, roundtables, awards, thought-leadership,
production of white papers and position papers, speaking engagements and
music conferences.
A strategic planner and heavily organised worker who understands the ecosystem of
event delivery, from tendering processes to production, sponsorship and partnership to
curating and social media.
Our ideal candidate will be required to grow and expand our existing event portfolio,
while being given the opportunity to introduce new initiatives, community events and
paid series.
We are looking for someone to take control of these initiatives and make them larger,
more profitable, more refined and more impactful.
Our ideal candidate will also manage and ultimately be responsible for the delivery of
Music Cities Events marketing and thought leadership portfolio, including our website,
social media platforms, partnership relationships, mailing lists and blogs.
